I’ve always loved Art Deco target rings, especially ones with a ruby halo, like this one:
But I decided that it would look too fancy with my usual yoga clothes and running shoes everyday style and was worried the rubies and the setting would not hold up to everyday wear. Plus, true vintage Art Deco target are hard to come by and pricey. Doing custom would also be pricey because the coloured stones in the halo are all custom cut to each centre stone, so I figured it would be way out of my budget.
So I chose a bezel set three stone ring with lab diamonds and 19k white gold (unplated). I love that three stone rings don’t look lonely when worn alone (I feel that solitaires often look lonely) and I get more sparkle surface area for carat weight (my ring is 0.64 ctw but sparkles from so many angles). Also, my mother has a three stone e-ring, so it’s also a bit of a sentimental choice. This is the ring I designed and love it so much!
