alliebamabride :  I never thought I would get married in a church: where I come from church weddings are not common. But as I met my Darling Husband in his culture it’s church all the way so we had a wedding in an amazing Protestant oratory which used to be a catholic cathedral before!

I never thought I’d get married without my mother there to witness.

I didn’t really have any other wedding expectations or fantasies to really say that I never thought I’d do them. I guess having a much different ceremony compared to western weddings in the US was something I didn’t really see coming but I also didn’t really see it not happening potentially. I never thought we’d be having more than one necessary ceremony and I never thought one would be out of the country.

Have anything more than a small intimate wedding. Actually have any form of party at all. He was adamant he didn’t want to get married unless we needed to for some reason, so I just assumed we’d have a smal civil wedding with not much fanfare.

Nope. He wanted a party. Actually, he wanted 2. So we’re having 2.

I never thought I’d have a small wedding! But a cross country move will change that 🙂 Oh well, I think it may be a little more fun this way

Father daughter dance. I am close to my dad, but the thought asking him to dance was a little odd. So I was never going to mention it. Then the other month he asks me, “so which dance are you thinking for our dance at your wedding?”

now it seems natural ☺️

I never thought I’d get married!  It wasn’t something I ever wanted before,  and I didn’t think being married was for me.  I also never thought I’d end up in a ltr with a man. But it works,  and I’m deeply in love, and I can’t wait to marry him.

I never thought I’d carry a bouquet, but my mother nagged me about it so I caved. I thought that if I gave her that victory she might stop nagging me about not having bridesmaids/groomsmen. I was wrong.

I never thought I’d get married. I was totally against it (due to parent’s divorce)

While getting ready, his mom asked if I was planning to wear a garter, which I adamently bellowed no. She then mentioned that she brought the garter she wore 43 years ago at their wedding if I’d like to have it as my old, borrowed, and blue. Omg YES!!!!! We didn’t do a toss or anything, just tooks some pics together and I did wear it then but I can’t believe how sweet.

I never really cared too much about wedding stuff, I always assumed I’d have a courthouse ceremony or a small private ceremony, which we did, but I never thought I’d be married by a religous leader as an officiant. We ended up being married by a friend of DH’s family who just so happens to be a pastor. Our ceremony was secular though.

Well first off, I never thought I’d even get engaged, my Fiance was dragging his feet so much! Lol …But now that we’re FINALLY in the wedding planning stage, I never thought I would end up with a big lavish affair (we had originally planned for something super simple and low-key.. I thought it was going to be much more on the affordable side) but it turns out, Fiance has mixed people on his side that he “HAS TO HAVE THERE” so… We’re now looking at a fancy schmancy catered resort venue for our wedding, complete with a DOC, staff, etc ….. I also never thought people would be so happy  and/or wanting to be involved with my planning process! It’s only been just shy of two weeks that we’re engaged, and already I’m being bombarded with bajillions of questions, like we already had the entire wedding planned THE SECOND he popped the question… People … *sigh* .. Lol

I never thought I would own such an extravagant (in my opinion) and beautiful diamond engagement ring.

I never thought I would get married on a beach, especially in Florida. I am very much a New England Girl at heart.

+1 for never thought I’d get married either! I never met anyone before Fiance that made me seriously consider getting married. I was never one of the girls who had her dream wedding planned in her head for many years… I honestly never thought about what my wedding would be like until I was solidly in a LTR with my fiance. That’s why I’m so surprised with myself that I’m totally wedding-crazy now! Like I have 3 Wedding-related Pinterest boards, spend so much time planning my wedding, go on these message boards… who am I?!
