We are signing the lease and getting the keys for our first home together so moving in together is a big thing for me this year!

Because of that, and assuming it goes well, we can start planning the wedding in the next few months!

Another thing for me will be, I need to hurry up and get my driver’s licence! I’ve had my learners for nearly eleven years, it’s past time!

haileyblue :  Congratulations on all that is to come! This is a big year for my husband and I ๐Ÿ™‚ We have a lot to look forward to. We’re going to see one of our favorite musical groups in concert on Valentine’s day, which is special to us because they sang at our wedding. Our second anniversary is in April and in May we’re going on a European cruise! We will begin trying for our first baby over the summer, which we’re both pretty excited about. And in the meantime, I applied to a job that would be a great promotion and my husband has also been looking out for better opportunities, so we’re hoping that we both move on to bigger professional endeavors this year ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy new year, everyone!

We’ve been TTC for 7 cycles now so hopefully a big, fat BFP early on and a healthy baby 9 months later!

Other than that, we’re throwing a lot of our plans (vacation, house projects) around TTC and seeing what happens there.

Fiance and I will graduate with our master’s degrees in May, officially ending our 2 year school-induced long distance, get married in July and honeymoon in Hawaii in August. And, aside from all of those big things, we’re really just looking forward to being together permanently – no more flights back and forth for visits, FaceTiming shows and movies together, meeting in different cities, etc. ๐Ÿ™‚

I will also probably begin looking for a new job/career (or at least seeing if any opportunities to advance are available at my current one), which is both exciting and stressful.

This is going to be a busy year for us too. Proposal sometime between now and beginning of September. Our house should be finished so we can move in hoepfully this fall, I have dreams about my master bath and Walk in Closet. Our daughter will swap to the Intensive Training Program at her studio in the fall, as she preps for pre-pro training (someone come save my wallet lol). Three work trips planned so far. We’ll start planning for a new furry addition to our family at the end of 2018 as well.

Love this thread because I am very excited for this year! We don’t have a ton going on until Mid-year.

Our wedding is Sept 29th, and I am excited for that and all that comes with it (bridal shower, bach party).

We are planning on purchasing our first home in June. With the wedding coming soon after I am nervous but SO excited to be out of an apartment!

We leave for our honeymoon the day after our wedding and will be going on a 5 day cruise.

We are hoping to TTC before the end of the year.

My son will also be starting 4k in September. I am so excited for him and proud of my little man. *insert tears and baby fever*

I’m crossing my fingers that all car troubles will be over with and left in 2017! Haha

My Fiance moved out yesterday, starting our extra 8 months long distance due to his work (previously we did 2 years long distance because of school) so that’s a bummer, but hopefully this will be the last time we ever go long distance!

I’m also looking forward to starting to decide things for the wedding, such as the venue, photographer, and videographer, which will happen around June.

Not much else going on besides continuing school and hopefully having another internship over the summer. 2017 was our very busy year with moving to my cousin’s for the summer, moving in together, getting engaged, etc. But it was also so crazy that I’m looking forward to something more laid back.

OMG this is the Year of the Weddings for us!

We are getting married in June, then have a 3-week honeymoon to look forward to.

Then we have 4 weddings to attend, and after the last wedding, Future Mother-In-Law wants to throw us a separate reception in September in FI’s hometown, so we will be traveling back for that.

So our entire year is going to be full of traveling and celebrations – exciting, but also a little intimidating for this introvert!

One thing that may or may not happen – we may stop TTA (trying to avoid) by the end of the year. We’d both prefer to wait until at least our 1-year anniversary, but my age may preclude that.

  • Wedding: March 2017

2017 was so busy. We went on three trips, DH got out of the military, moved here and had to find a job, we got married, bought a house, and adopted 4 pets! 2018 we are hoping to travel some more, though no definite plans yet. Also have some friends & family getting married this year so looking forward to their weddings! Hopefully we will get some work done on the house, get it fully painted & decorated, and also need to get a fence. I’d also like to get my Masters at some point so maybe this is the year I start!

Last year was a huge roller coaster.  Found out I didn’t get my promotion and my boss was let go — then later fought hard and finally got said promotion.  Got engaged.  Trained to become a barre instructor and got certified in it.  It was a lot.

I’m hoping this year will be much quieter.  Longer term I know I need to find a new job but am not sure if that will be insane on top of wedding planning.  (Taking the time off for the wedding and honeymoon definitely seem easier here since I have so much vacation.)

Honestly I just want to focus back on basics this year – healthy eating, working out, pursuing hobbies, seeing friends, traveling more.  FI and I did book a trip to Iceland for Q1 so currently very much looking forward to that.

– Getting Married August 11

– Honeymoon (probably italy)

– Friends wedding in the UK in October

– We started TTC Sept 2017, this may change some of the plans slightly. I made sure to pick a dress that would fit me preggers

DH will finish his MS, which means (hopefully) going back to dual incomes. Hooray! It might even mean resuming IF treatment and travelling a bit more. ๐Ÿ™‚

kimmacph :  Such a busy year, I’m sure y’all will do great! It’s none of my business, but I just got a puppy last summer and I’d be careful about getting a puppy around the time you want to also have a baby. Training puppies are a lot of work.  Mine is almost 9 months old and has a ridiculous amount of energy! That said, if you have experience with puppies,  you know what you’re getting into.

My sister adopted an elderly dog(11 years old small schnauzer) right before her first was born and he’s great. So much more chill then my puppy and so patient with her 2 toddlers. Plus, honestly, he’s content as long as he’s fed, gets the occasional walk, and is let outside to potty. He sleeps most of the time and is a whole lot less work then my puppy. Honestly, I envy her sometimes lol.
