I’m honestly surprised to see multiple comments mentioning Indian paintbrush- it’s a longtime favorite of mine as well. My true favorite changes often, currently cosmos are my favorite. Generally, any wildflower type is my favorite. For scent, alyssum are my favorite!

This thread makes me immensly happy! Faves are Peonies, Garden Roses, and the wildflowers that grow along the Garden State Parkway here in NJ

I’ve always loved lily of the valley. Also, lupins. And it always made me happy to be walking in the woods and come upon a lady slipper.

hyacinthandlavender :  I love Hyacinths as does my mother. I actually have that exact color purple in a pot right now. It smells heavenly!

To smell: lilacs (my all-time favorite), hyacinths, plumeria

To grow: Orchids (like a few PP, I have quite a collection of orchids and I love tending them) and daffodills, madagascar jasmine, plumeria (I have 5!)

To display in a vase: dahlias, cherry blossoms, tulips

I love love love tulips. But since they don’t last long, I didn’t have them in my wedding. We did hydrangea and peony for the wedding and it was lovely.

Orchids all day long.  I love gifting people with orchid plants, and I love when the men I date do the same.  No bouquets here, please, I’d rather enjoy the blooms time and time again. 🙂

Peonies are hands down my favorite flower, and I would have used them in my wedding bouquet if they were in season.
