I’m less than 3 weeks out and it still hasn’t really hit me that I’m getting married.
Maybe it’s bc I’m so busy w/ work, a sprained (might need surgery) ankle and last minute wedding things (rsvps, table seating, etc.
I’m less than 3 weeks away, and I was thinking about my name change and getting a new email etc. BUT I think it’ll really hit me at church rehearsal the night before & of course day of. And day after! 🙂
Married & engaged bees:
When did you it hit you and you have the realization of “Oh my gosh…I’m getting married!”?
Months, weeks, days before? Not until it happens/happened?

Hmmm good question… I think it was when I started gathering some decor and wedding favours and starting to see it all come together, rather than just chucking money at vendors and not seeing any results up until the big day haha. I’m 5 months out from my wedding too 🙂

summerbride2016: the minute we got to the church and was about to get out of the limo, i had a panic attack lol
Mind you, we had been together 10 years, so not sure why i got the jitters haha

- Wedding: July 2015 - Carmen\'s Lakeview
About 3 days before the wedding when all of the out of town guests started to arrive…they come to visit fairly regularly, but this time it was like, they are here for MY WEDDING!!! It was then the jitters hit. And it came in waves. I would feel excited then nauseous, then nervous then calm…they would hit me and not necessarily in that order. I had these feelings right up until I got to the end of the aisle!

- Wedding: April 2016 - Manhattan, NY
Even the morning after I felt like I needed someone to pinch me lol It’s now been a week and it’s sunken in that we are husband and wife. Still getting used to my new last name though! 🙂

When my dress fit! I’d had to argue with the seamstress about a few things (she thought sewing in “D” bra cups would work, I wore a 32I…just no) so I was really nervous about it. So when it truly fit that’s when it all started to feel real.

Today! Exactly 2 weeks to go. Getting ready for bachelorette tonight and it hit me! I too was focused on other things like school up until recently.

I misread the calender a couple days ago and thought it was six months away (actually seven)….and for some reason I got the butterfly feeling in my stomach because I think the countdown just became real to me. But now I’m back to oblivious so I’m sure this will happen worse closer to the date.
I also watched some youtube wedding recap video with emotional music…ended up crying and realizing I’m probably screwed for my wedding (thought I wouldn’t get teary eyed at all).

I have waves of it. When I went wedding dress shopping it was a “wow were really getting married soon” moment. Then this last weekend when I put together and addressed our invitations I had another wave of that. Yesterday was the 3 month mark and that also made me feel that way but stressed me out! Got to kick planning into overdrive now. We’ve been focusing on school so much, Fiance is graduating and I only have one more semester left that sometimes wedding stuff gets pushed back

I second the Bee who mentioned arrival of the out of town guests. Everyone but 3 came into our town for the wedding, so when the airport runs started and the people were arriving, it hit me like a ton of bricks and I swear I was nauseus from then until the reception. I definitely had to stop myself from passing out right before walking down the aisle. I had one of those “get me the hell out of this dress, I can’t breathe!” moments, but it was more people looking at me than it was getting married. It was perfect, wouldn’t have changed anything! You’ll get realizations that it’s happening, then your subconscious will squash it, then it creeps back more frequently the closer you get. So fun!

summerbride2016: I was a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding last month, and as I was standing beside them, watching them say their vows, it really hit me that I’d be doing the same thing in July. That was my “oh my gosh” moment lol.

You totally read my mind! I was just thinking this exact thing and thought of creating a thread. I’m also three weeks out and still, it hasn’t hit me! I almost feel like something is wrong with me! We got FI’s wedding band in the mail a few days ago and yesterday he wore it around the house. When I’d see it on his finger I had a little bit of that “Whoa, he’s a husband!” sort of moment. He took it off though and now it’s gone.
I think once I’m putting on my wedding dress the day of it’ll really click with me.
