With this ring the C’s I cared least about was definitely color as I wanted a faint yellow diamond and didn’t want to pay fancy yellow prices, it’s an L color. Then second would be clarity, I went with a vs2 to insure it was eye clean but didn’t want to pay extra for higher clarity.

I’m going to have to go with the carat size. I’m not into BIG diamonds…i have small hands and i feel more comfortable with a smaller one. Plus, id rather have quality vs quantity.

Clarity. As long as it is eye clean, I don’t care.

I really care about cut and clarity. Color is the only “C” I would somewhat sacrifice for size.

I didn’t really know about the 4 c’s when we discussed rings. I cared more about the design of the setting than anything else.

If I did know about the C’s I probably would have prioritized color last. I’m just happy if it sparkles!

I thought I didn’t care about color, but then the diamonds on my wedding band look whiter than the engagement ring!

Color and clarity were my top priorities. We ended up going with a smaller diamond (.64c) because we wanted high quality in the other areas. I love my ring and am glad we went with what we did!

Clarity, as long at it was eye clean! I would have loved a 2+ carat diamond but clearly was too expensive. For me I could not skimp on colour (I have a 1.4 D round brillant diamond) and I get so many compliments on how sparkly and white it is and a lot of people think it’s bigger than it is!

MrsSparkleBee13:  I think that might be the prettiest diamond I’ve ever seen. I’m gonna need a moment to collect myself…

I was not even aware of the 4 Cs until we got into e ring shopping lol. Carat was my top priority I really wanted a 1 carat round. Once we got into it, of course I didn’t want any visible inclusions either. We we’re going to go with a  1 carat with a great cut and I believe an H or I color that had a small white inclusion on the side of the diamond that could be covered with a prong. Then the place where we were buying the band called us & said the owner was willing to cut us a deal since we were paying cash (& something about young love, we were 20). So we ended up getting a 1 carat with incredible cut and clarity with a J color. But since the cut and clarity are so great you really can’t tell. Also, its set in a yellow gold band so that gives you more leeway with color too.

Color definitely. Mine is a K colored diamond and it’s still very pretty and white! I was thinking of swapping it out for an M colored diamond…
