Just wondering about the Bees who celebrate Thanksgiving. Who will be going out of town and who will be staying home, or very close to it?
Will any of you be breaking tradition? Is this the first year with your SO for anyone?

sassy411 : we’re staying home this year. Normally we do a trip to the west coast for either Christmas or thanksgiving but next year we have three weddings to go to in Southern California. (We live on the east coast) so we are kinda breaking tradition and staying in our area and doing the holidays with his family instead of going to visit mine.

sassy411 : I’m from the Midwest and we live in Southern California bc that’s where my husband is from. Last year and this year we are hosting Thanksgiving. I love to cook to I enjoy cooking for his family. It’ll only be about 10 people or so. I’m one of those people who would rather host and be in my own home than travel and have someone else host.

sassy411 : We normally go to my husband’s parent’s house for dinner but we’re picking them up and taking a 5 hour road trip to go to my brother-in-law’s for Thanksgiving. They have 3 kids and bought a bigger house last year so they’re eager to host every holiday. We’ll be spending the night then heading back home.

We moved a few weeks ago, so it’ll be our first Thanksgiving here. But the good news is we’re close to family now so we’ll be with loved ones 🤗

It’s just me and my husband (and our doggo!) this year. It’s the second year we are skipping traveling to any family for Thanksgiving and we are excited about. Last year, just the two of us at home, was the absolute best. Quiet and relaxing.

I am staying home because I live like less than 10 minutes away from my parents, but next year I will definitely be heading downstate to celebrate Thanksgiving with my fiance’s family since we decided we would alternate Thanksgiving.

We are going to our cabin which is about 80 miles from where we live. My mom, SO’s older son and gf will be there with us. It will be very low key.
We are in Paris right now so we are going to love relaxing.

socalgirl1689 : yeah, it was a whirlwind. We moved about a month after dh accepted his job offer. I’m already missing the weather for sure, and it sucks that winter is only just beginning. But what can ya do….
Enjoy sunny CA for me! 😝

My SO and I are flying down south for a beach vacation and my immediate family and some extended family are going as well.
My family and I have gone there for years because we love it so much and my mom is one of ten siblings so every year we go and some of her siblings join us at staggered times.
My SO and I are staying in our own villa and will do some things on our own but my family has a tradition where my parents cook the big turkey dinner and we all squeeze into the condo to celebrate together.
It’s just like thanksgiving at home but with sunny weather and a panoramic view of the ocean 😊 I can’t wait
