merighthere :

1  I only dance when no one is watching and only to a couple of songs. To have that happen in public… I would need to drink.. a lot… so I have no idea what I’m going to do at my wedding since i dont wanna be drunk af…

I’m ok with slow dancing… which is litterally taking tiny steps and walking in a circle while huging each other. That I looove. lol so I’m not horrified at the though of our first dance. I’ll survive… then I’m gonna mingle and try to avoid dancing as much as possible because see above 😂

I personally dance like a drunk white Dad at a 1990’s neighbourhood BBQ….Mercifully, Darling Husband is somehow a WORSE dancer than I am…so he overshadows me and my horribleness!

At our wedding we mostly mingled and hosted anyways, so we didn’t do too much dancing…which believe me is a GOOD thing!

I’d say probably a 5. I can dance decently, but according to Fiance, I’m too “stiff”. We dance decently good together, but he’s definitely the better dancer. Anytime he dances he seems to end up being the center of attention without trying. I’d rate him a 9 – while he’s no professional dancer and couldn’t teach someone on a professional level, that man has moves!

10! My mother was a professional dancer in her youth, I grew up dancing and was a dance minor in college and semi professional afterward. My brother is a former wedding DJ and played our wedding as a gift to us. He and I have been known to tear up a dance floor. My husband and I danced down the aisle after our ceremony.

I was on the dance floor dancing at the reception  even when no one else was. Dance is one of the ways I pray.

I’m a 1. I’m British and I dance British. At neither of my 2 weddings have I had a first dance. Because I’d rather have my teeth pulled without anaesthetic.

I’m a 2, Darling Husband is a 1.75. Our wedding dance (literally the first time we danced together, ever) lasted 30 seconds. We have since danced 1 song at a friend’s wedding.

9! I am classically trained in ballet, so I have skills! I am a good dancer in other styles as well… but there is always room for improvement 🙂

I want to say slightly better than Elaine level but after a couple drinks… Sadly I do not have an excuse, as a kid I had ballet, jaz, tap and modern dance classes. We did dance classes for the wedding and I was less graceful than husband, who typically walks like Shrek. Best to embrace it is a skill to look silly in and have fun.

I’d say 10 but my Fiance may disagree. I love to dance and will be the first one on the dance floor getting the party started.

-0.5.

It makes it even worse because I “look” like I should know how to dance sexily, but I am SO uncoordinated.

I still do it, though, lol. I just tend to part the sea.

I’m about an 8. Darling Husband is about a 2. Lol but our reception was great; the dancing had no effect on it whatsoever! Everyone danced the best they could and no one judged or even cared anything about how anyone else was dancing. It was so much fun! I wouldn’t worry about it affecting the wedding/reception.

I’d give myself a solid 6. My dancing style is more clubbing than wedding, but hey no children will be there so who cares. My fiance ranges from a .5 to 4. He sort of looks like he’s at a Catholic school prom where the nuns keep telling you to “leave room for Jesus” during formal dances. Arm’s length away. But once he’s a little drunk, he’s fine. Not too drunk though, he could go full White Boy on you.

We’re probably just going to have that awkward swaying-around-the-dancefloor first dance, but after that, it’ll be okay.

I think I am about a 7. I don’t drink, so I dance sober! I like to really move around and do actual steps, not just shuffle around in one spot and fistpump.

Darling Husband is pretty game to dance with me, and he lets me lead.

Our wedding hashtag was #dancelikeafish, based on an insult I got in high school. Definitely a solid 1 here!
