Do it. Here is a shot from my wedding back in May. I took down my recap after I posted it but thought some ladies might want to see that the mismatched gowns looks great! If you have girls that are different shapes and heights (and who also have all different tastes in clothes) this is a great route.
Plus the majority of their dresses cost under $100 and its something they can (and some already have) wear again.

@heathuhhhhwebbbb: Beautiful! I really want mis-matched, but I’m having two bridesmaids and people think it will be strange looking and they won’t stand out as much compared to the guests. I’m still on the fence on whether it works for two or not.

@LoveLaceandWine: I’m doing it for my two bridesmaids. They will be standing up with me and a large part of my photos and that’s good enough for me! Here is the sample dresses but they will be in Navy.
Sorry to thread jack!!

@LoveLaceandWine: I think you could def pull it off with just two!

@LoveLaceandWine: I’m in the same situation! So I’m thinking maybe same colour, different silhouettes for them, depending on what’s most flattering for them.

I went the mismatched route and it was SO EASY!!! I just told them to find a yellow dress that was knee-length and not made from shiny fabric. Easy peasy. They got what they liked and in the price range they could afford and it worked out great!

I did it too, this past October. Even my super traditional family loved it!

Mine are mismatched. I gave them a color and some length/formality parameters.
2 got theirs at David’s bridal, 2 got theirs at Ann Taylor, & 2 are still waiting to get theirs. (Hopefully they’ll have them soon!)

i love it. this is so good to know/see because i’m having 10 bridesmaids and just asked for 2 things: long dress and dark gray. i’m excited to see how it’s going to look because they are all different shapes and sizes and i really want them to be comfortable in the dress they are in. thanks for sharing the pics! can’t wait to see my girls!
