I had a c-section and I actually had to think about it but I am pretty sure I was wearing my glasses during. I think PP are right, it will probably be the last thing on your mind when the time comes!

JenGirl:  LOL – yeah, my glasses just got in the way once things got kind of hairy!  You’ll do fine!

BrookieCookie9:  Yup, I hear you!  I didn’t have any drugs, nothing!  I also had to endure a brutal episiotomy.  That’s what made it worse and why I was crying so much. LOL.  My glasses were going to fly off my face so I told hubby to just take them.

Yes, every experience is different and yours could be very enjoyable, you never know. Just go with the flow when the time comes, girl!  All that matters is seeing your precious little baby in the end.  Once she was born, I could let all the pain in the world I felt go.  It’s an amazing experience however it happens!  🙂  P.S. I still cringe if I hear the word “episiotomy” anywhere!  LOL.

For me glasses was the obvious choice and turned out to be the right one. I could sleep for about two hours after I got the epidural, something I couldn’t have done with contacts on.

<div>I wondered about the same thing, and I went in wearing my contacts. But my labor also kicked into gear in the afternoon so I already had my contacts in. FWIW, I wore them overnight without problems and just put my glasses on the next afternoon. I knew the glasses would annoy me too much while I was in labor.</div>

I kept my glasses on and so glad I did.  I was in and out if sleep the entire time before the baby.  Once the baby came = 0 sleep. My eyes were burning even with my glasses! i brought 3 days of contacts and never put them in lol

I wore my contacts but brought my stuff in case they bothered me.  Worked out fine.

I don’t have experience to share, since it hasn’t happened yet, but I am definitely planning glasses all the way.  I can only go 14-16 hours before my eyes start getting annoyed with my contacts, and my vision isn’t so bad that I can’t see short distances without my glasses if I needed to take them off.

During delivery nothing, my glasses were at my bedsite, with all the sweat and pain  they kept sliding down. After she was born I put them on,

JenGirl:  i didn’t wear any. The last thing i was worried about were my glasses. They wouldn’t even let me leave the bed or go to the bathroom.  I didn’t need glasses to look at the wall. When it came time to push my focus was on pushing.
