Blue nile has nice things, but I think they are overpriced.  My best friend got her ring there, but you could prolly do better at a family owned jeweler.

We just ordered a setting only to have a family diamond set in. They had great customer servicw and were so helpful with the whole process. The ring just got delievered this week and we had no problems with delivery. Blue Nile requires it to be signed for in person. We werent home for the first 2 delivery attempts but he left us a note on the door explaining what to do and when it would be available to pick up at the fed ex place, which is what we had to end up doing. If the actual fed ex place isnt too far you could request for them to not deliver it to your door and go pick it up there if you felt uncomfortable with the fed ex guy.

My Fiance got my ring from Blue Nile too, but he didn’t have to deal with their customer service. I was home sick from work when it got shipped and I just signed for the package. Apparently it came 2 days after he ordered it, so the shipping is pretty quick. He also said that they had great tracking and that all of the packages are insured- just incase they get lost etc.

You could always have it mailed to your work, that way you would know that you would be able to sign for it, so having a failed delivery isn’t an option.

Blue Nile is known for their customer service.  We had a great experience with them, including the shipping process.

My Fiance got my diamond from Blue Nile and my setting from a local jeweler. But he got the diamond with no problems! Good luck with yours!

This is my wedding band from BN. I don’t think there were any shipping issues – Fiance didn’t mention any (it was shipped to his work).

If you are worried about them losing your package, you can always arrange to have it shipped to a FedEx store (if you have one nearby) and pick it up youself.

I can say that around where I am at, Fed Ex makes us sign for our packages while UPS just leaves it on the porch…every time. 😐
