I’ve decided to try out clip in extensions for my wedding. My fiance has been teasing me since I’ve been doing so much ‘research’ as I call it, but I want to make sure I love them. I’ve been looking at Luxy’s and Bellami’s, but I have NO idea which is better. I’ve found good and bad reviews on all the brands it seems which is making it difficult. So for the girls who have clip ins, what brand do you recommend? I’m open to any, as long as they’re real hair. I don’t mind spending a few hundred dollars, so money isn’t a deciding factor. Thanks so much!

Head Kandy. They are AMAZING!
Mine still look new and I’ve had them since May. Everyone is always shocked when I say I’m wearing extensions, they come in heaps of colours, they do colour matching (if you send them a picture they’ll tell you what shade to get, but they blend in really well if you’re slightly darker/lighter anyway) and the hair is really good quality (and there is lots of it, I think there is about 180g).
They were a little on the expensive side (a bit under 200 for a full set of 22′ extensions) but they are worth it! I really cannot recommend them enough.

I’ve heard that Bellami’s are really good. Google Carli Bybel & go to her website. She has a coupon code for a discount on them. She’s a YouTube famous makeup/hair artist & she swears by them.

I bought Euronext hair extentions from Sallys Beauty. They were about $150 but totally worth it! They stayed in perfect and were super easy for my hair dresser to put them in.

I have had many different types of extensions over the years, ranging in price from $120-600. I cannot remember brands for the life of me. My advice is if you just want them for your wedding day, go cheap. If you plan to wear them lots, order them from your hairdresser. Get them perfectly dyed to your Color. As long as what you buy is 100% human hair! my experience has been that more money= longer lasting, less often to need replacing. But if it’s just for one wear, I’ve found no benefit to spending more money

I got Luxy extensions bc I saw so many great reviews on YouTube. I didn’t realize until after that these girls get free stuff to say nice things. My extensions looked like shit after the first day. I cut off a few inches and after the next wear, they were dry, split, and fried again. I used heat protector and not much heat and they were still horrible. I paid $120 so I still wear them on special occasions but I have to wear them curly to camouflage the damage.

@sillygoat: Bellami! They’re amazing quality and totally worth the money. They match perfectly to my hair. I just had a trial yesterday with them. Take a look at my pictures 🙂

@MrsSweetT: was that the first time your worn them? I want to try them out a few times before hand to get used to them, and I’m worried they won’t look as good after a couple washes. Luxy, bellami and headkandy are the three I’m struggling between, especially since I hear amazing stuff about all of them, and the same cons it seems (shedding, not looking as good after a few washes etc). I wish there was a review comparing the three, or that I could look at them before purchasing haha, that would make the choice easier.
@priyawouldntwannabeya: I like the option of being able to try them out beforehand, and if I love them I’d like the ability to get my money’s worth so I think I’ll go for the longer lasting.
what got me interested in Luxys originally was the tutorials I’ve seen super short hair, but then I noticed a makeup artist I follow on Instagram (amrezy) always wears bellami. Bah, I’m so torn. I just want to make sure they’re going to look amazing for at least a few weeks.. I want to be able to colour match if needed and style it a few times beforehand. If they look ratty before that I will be super bummed.
Thanks ladies! Has anyone tried multiple brands that has a preference?
