A CZ can become brittle and crack if the change in temperature is too abrupt that’s why we should let the CZ cool off slowly in the oven (turned off) before taking it out. I know many experienced CZ bakers at the BetterThan Diamond forums and none of them had problems with cracked CZs.

I am a huge CZ fan, I have a good little collection of CZs going on, but I am  having fun posting my new tradecraft ring, so here she is! I am so obsessed with it.

This is Austrian crystal but it’s more or less CZ. This is my RHR and I adore it. It’s on my left hand because my right hand was swollen and I wanted to take a pic 🙂

I have a stand-in ring from TradeCraft on Etsy. It’s so beautiful.

I also bought a pair of earrings from her because the ring was so beautiful. I plan to purchase another pair of earrings for my second hole sometime soon

Does anybody have any advice on where to get cz rings under 1 carat? Most of the ones I see on Berricle etc. are 1ct+, but I’d love to get something in the 0.5-0.6 range in a decent looking setting.

And if anyone knows where to get a 3-stone cz ring with a 0.6 center, my gratitude will know no end, lol. That is my ultimate dream – I’d love to try out the 3-stone before upgrading my solitaire to see what I prefer.

Peaceoutboyscout:  I do still have it although my friend has it right now. I let her use it one night. My ring size is 5.25 and the stone is “2ct”

IzzyBear:  I just ordered this one yesterday. How has the quality held up over the last two years? Also, all the rings I have are rhodium plated. Does the silver look dull? I was thinking of having it plated when it arrives.

Peaceoutboyscout:  since it’s not in my possession right now I’m not exactly sure how it looks right now. She hasn’t worn it in probably about year. I will definitely ask her if I can get it back and let you know. It might be a couple days though.
