This is my favorite pic that I’ve taken so far of a moissy. It’s my sister’s stone before it was sent off to be set. This was taken outside, around 3 pm, in the shade with a brick background. The background definitely makes a difference and brought out the facets more.

This is the same stone against the black background of the gem case. This was also outside in the shade. It mostly just shows the brilliance of it and less of the sparkle.

I second PPs that my favorite lighting for pictures of moissy is outside in the shade (and the same went for the diamond I used to have) but a well-cut stone should look great the majority of the time. A lot of people call moissy moody, but all stones are moody. The color and intensity of sparkle changes with the amount of light, the light source, viewing angle, surrounding colors in the room or area, and even what you’re wearing! That’s what’s so awesome about gemstones in general!

Heather Barnes :  the seller is jewelryhere09 on eBay (also, if you buy from them, make an offer if they have the option, or wait it out because they discount here and there)

I am obsessed with trying to get a pic that will do my ring justice.  Also my hands age 10 years in photos

I’ve only had mine since Friday, but I have had no problems taking photos of it as of yet! And I’ve probably already taken far too many haha

Wow, these are some photography skills. I’m so jealous, and these rings are all gorgeous! I can never take a good photo – I’m very aware that my hands are rough and gigantic and never photograph well. (Doesn’t help that I’m an engineer working in a food packaging facility, so manicures are prohibited and my hands are always digging around machines – no jewellery allowed in the building either, of course.) This is the best I have!

juliensmommy :  Sorry for some reason I didn’t get updates from this thread. Thank you! I really like the pop of color as well. I know it’s definitely not everybody’s taste but for me, it’s like looking at my sister in the form of a ring. Lol I’m so happy she’s so in love with it!
