So ladies, I’m sure we’ve all been going through our guestlists and there is that one person we really want there on our special day, and they can’t be for one reason or another. So was there any way you still tried to incorporate them?
My step-brother left today to begin his deployment in afganastan, and i am getting married in two months. I am trying to think of ways to still include him, from over seas. Depending on what time he works we are going to try and skype him at somepoint. My fiance are going to take a picture with a picture of him to send… trying to think of other ideas as well

I went to a wedding where the groom’s brother was deployed. They had a “life size” cardboard cutout of him made to have at the reception. They took a few family photos with it and it was sweet, but the best thing was being on the dance floor and seeing their dad dancing around with it, the cardboard head bouncing above the crowd! 🙂
The skype idea is really cool! I wish I could have set that up for my grandparents who couldn’t make it. I don’t think they could have figured it out on their end though 🙂

One of my best friends watched my wedding from Greece, over Skype. After the ceremony, the mutual friend whose iPad she’s Skyped over brought it to me and we chatted for a moment. It’s actually one of my favorite moments from the wedding.
