This is definitely good advice.

It’s always refreshing to hear stories of fellow bees sharing my waiting emotions. The reassurace that comes from such conversations with SO somehow makes the world a (nearly) perfect place. . .at least for a moment!  🙂

I know that my anxiety about waiting is really taking it’s toll on our relationship.  I’ve been very stressed and upset lately.

@prshadow: Me too! SO and I had a rift a week ago and I know the ring is in the house and it’s still frustrating because he’s had it for 5 weeks (as of today).

I think this is really good advice, I was so stressed and anxious about my SO actually getting the ring. Even though I love and trust him, I was really antsy about him actually getting the ring and showing that it wasn’t all just “talk”. Seriously once he let me know that he ordered the setting for my ring it was like a HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders and I don’t feel anxious AT ALL anymore (: I think the stress was partially waiting but now I see that I just needed some evidence that it was eventually going to happen! I’m still waiting for the proposal but it really doesn’t even feel like waiting anymore (:

@sherryberry:

I love this advice – I too feel this waiting anxiety is actually causing friction in my own relationship, take out this anxiety and all the fun and the reason why I love him comes flooding back.

Who cares if I’m not engaged to him yet? He loves me and I love him! We will get married ONE DAY!

This is all so true!  I feel that so many “waiters” forget to share how much they love their prospective fiances.  I am so happy to be with my boyfriend and I just had a revelation like this one not too long ago.  I’m getting excited, I know it’s coming but he’s taking his time to make it wonderful and special.  I’m starting to enjoy the anticipation instead of just feeling anxiety.  I love him and he loves me, yay!
