Good luck. It may be a trip away for your anniversary but his comments are really positive and a step in the right direction.

I’d show him some pictures of rings I like…engagement, casual, etc. and watch for his reaction.

Totally know that feeling! I’ll share current way overthinking things story. I’ve picked out the ring I want & basically my boyfriend is just saving money at this point. I know he’s not too far off & he got a holiday bonus at work & things like that, but I’ve been trying not to pay much attention because I want it to be a surprise. Of course, that doesn’t stop me from way over-analyzing other things! I was a bit suspicious because my sister asked me if I wanted to get manicures for my birthday next week, which we NEVER do. And then the other day my boyfriend & I were watching an old season of a reality tv show & he let slip that he’d known who the winner was the whole time, but then he did a really good job of dropping little hints that made it seem like the contestant I liked wasn’t going to win, so he had me totally convinced. It got me thinking that maybe he could be doing the same thing & acting like he needs a lot more time to save for the ring just to throw me off the track. Of course, I know I’m reading way too much into stuff. But it’s funny how those things slip into your head while you’re waiting.
