I was searching online for the perfect way to make wraparound labels without investing in a Xyron (they aren’t that expensive but I am always looking to cut costs!). I found that Avery makes sticker paper. So, you can print directly onto it and it works, I assume, just like the Xyron (without having to feed regular paper through the Xyron machine to make it a sticker).
Here it is: http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Products/Crafts-%26-Scrapbooking/Scrapbooking/White-Sticker-Paper_53202.htm?N=0&Ns=&refchannel=c042fd03ab30a110VgnVCM1000002118140aRCRD
Has anyone tried this? How have your results been?

I haven’t used the sticker paper, the only thing that would concern me (and I have to say that I actually bought a xyron for wedding projects) is the quality of the paper. I still wanted good quality/textured paper for my projects, and I also used the xyron to adhesive-back ribbon (it worked way more cleanly than spray adhesive). I would think the sticker paper would have the feel of basic printer paper (based on the quality of other avery products_

Yeh you are right…I forgot that the Xyron can adhere adhesive to just about anything. My suggestion would only work if you were interested in making plain wrap around labels.

Actually, I haven’t bought the avery but I did buy some. It wasn’t worth it–the paper was of such poor quality!
I did buy a xyron after that.

I’m using full-sheet all-weather shipping labels to make the wrap arounds.

Staples. No pictures yet. I haven’t gotten that far. It’s not that complicated. print. cut. slap it on.

you know you can always just glue the labels. I used them on my christmas cards and used a good old fashion glue stick. cost: $4

I guess the quality depends on your printer. Not sure how much quality you can expect out of label paper.
