The song we picked was “Another one bites the dust.”  It’s not recent like you want but it’s a classic that a lot of people would know.

I was thinking of using “Girls”  by the Beastie Boys.

Hahaha, “It’s Gonna Be Me” by *NSYNC. Too funny. I was the biggest *NSYNC fan back in the day, and vowed that I would somehow incorporate that into our wedding somehow. A little personal joke πŸ˜‰

Yes, same for removal & toss.

I’ve always liked “Foxy Lady” by Jimi Hendrix. Not sure why though! πŸ™‚

I’m considering Lady Marmalade (the Christina Aguilera, Mya, P!ink, Lil’Kim version) for the bouquet toss. I’m not sure what order the bouquet toss and garter removal take place, but if the garter removal is directly after the bouquet toss I would just leave this on….if it is long enough. Then maybe I would change the song for the garder toss to something for the guys.

My friend has a band called Shut up and Dance.  One of their songs is “Not Looking For Love”.  I’m going to have that as the garter toss song.  I’ve been to several weddings where the men are just don’t want to catch the garter.  One wedding I went to, none of the guys lifted up their hands and it sailed over their heads and the tallest guy in the back caught it and dropped it on the head of the guy in front of him.  So I think the song will be funny.

Our removal song was “It’s getting hot in here” and the toss was “Who let the dogs out”. Darling Husband considered “Bad Boys for Life” for the toss as well.

We are using the same song for both. I am debating between Lenny Kravitz “American Woman” because of it’s raunchy beat and Britney Spears “Womanizer” or”Gimme More.” They just sound sexy to me πŸ™‚

Alright, now I’m confused.  I hope someone answers this so I don’t have to create a post.  lol

Do you need a song for the bouquet toss, Darling Husband removing the garter, throwing the garter, and then the guy putting the garter on the girl?

I’m very confused now …. lol

@njm1313: i would choose a song for the removal/toss –  a seperate song for the bouquet toss – and then another for when he puts it on the girl- just becuase it will most likely not all happen at the same time. but thats just my opinon. so 3 songs?

We did a big band saxy rif while Darling Husband took the garter off. It was hilarious. We did one song for that, one for the bouquet toss. We didn’t have the dude who caught the garter put it on the woman that caught the bouquet but if we had I imagine that would have been a song too. And it wasn’t the full songs played thoughout, it was really just enough to introduce the events which was perfect.
