Hello Fellow Bees…
My wedding is about 3 months away and I am looking to finalizing the guest list so I can mail out my invites next month. Now our contract states only 100 ppl and we really don’t have much money if we go over (we can get by squeezing in 5ppl)
I want to know from your experience how manny ppl you invited with how many ppl either RSVP’d or showed up.
Thank you! 🙂

We had about 30% of our guests show up. There were probably about 20% that we knew for sure wouldn’t come, so about 50% that we didn’t expect to decline.

When I was making our guestlist, I did it on a spreadsheet, and I added a column for the liklihood that they’ll come – so I had high, mid and low, and just estimated based on what I know of peoples’ location, finances, etc.
I’m guessing we’ll end up with all of the Highs and about half of the Mids – with the exceptions/surprises (lows who come, or highs who don’t) canceling each other out.
I’ve heard a 75% rule of thumb, but that doesn’t account for out of town guests or special situations at all, so I didn’t want to trust it.
