I’m not married yet, but we are doing Catholic Pre-Cana in October.  It’s 2 hours Friday evening and then 9-5 on Saturday.

We did yes, have marriage counseling that was required by the church and it was only 2 hours.  Which we did during the week.

We had to do the pre-cana class through the catholic church. It was just one saturday from 8-5. We also had to do a few meetings with the deacon. Probably three times at an hour each.

Yes, we did.  We had to go to two 8:00 to 5:00 sessions on two Saturdays with a big group, and then we also had to meet in private with a counselor three times for an hour each.

ETA:  Catholic.

Pre-cana here as well. I’d be interested in hearing if there are non-Catholic churches that also require counseling.

We did 4 – 1 hour sessions with the pastor (just the two of us and him).  One of the sessions was planning the ceremony, and the other three were just talking about personalities, issues couples tend to face, and giving us an outside opinion on things we had already talked about.

We got married in a Methodist church and did four or five sessions, about an hour long each, with our pastor during the months leading up to the wedding. It was pretty laid back, just making sure we had talked about the things we needed to talk about prior to getting married, like kids/family stuff, finances, faith, communication, etc.
