My rings come off when I am home, unless just relaxing. I place them in the dish by the bed. They ONLY get placed in dishes which I have in almost every room of the house.

shadesofbay :  I don’t take my rings off ever, but if I did, I would put it on top of our bathroom cabinet we have (it’s about 4 feet tall) and I have a lazy susan to hold my items and in that i hold everything and it would have it’s own box sitting there.

shadesofbay :  I always take my rings and jewellery off as soon as I get home, it’s just something I have always done.

Recently I actually bought this cheap little jewellery box and it’s great because it has a sliding bar lock.

I take off my rings to shower and sleep. I don’t take it off to sleep to protect it, but it’s just more comfortable.

shadesofbay :  I take them both off at night and usually put them back on together. The only times I just wear my band are when I’m working out in public because I usually just do classes where a band won’t get in the way ex. zumba, yoga, etc..

I think I will treat my wedding band the same as my engagement ring, which I wear 99% of the time. I do take it off at night most of the time, but not always. On trips I just keep it on the whole time and don’t take the risk of losing it by taking it off. I only take it off at home, no where else.. that way even if I did somehow lose it, I’d know it’s in my house *somewhere*. I’m much more concerned with losing it than damaging it TBH.

Wedding band I’m probably going to choose a very plain and flat band, so I may end up wearing it more than the e-ring since I will be able to wear it during sports and stuff. Will have to wait and see.

I take mine off for showering, sleeping and exercising. I have a little crystal ring holder on my bedside table that I always use. I never worry about losing them.

I have a blue topaz/sterling e-ring, a soft stone prone to crackage/breakage. I take it off immediately after getting home, and pop on a cute elastic ring that stays on until the next morning. I’m freshly engaged so I really want to have something “there” 24/7, even if it isn’t the shiny one. 😉

shadesofbay :  I take my rings off when I get ready for bed so that I don’t get lotion in them, otherwise I wear them both all the time.

I never take my diamond wedding band off, I do however take my engagement ring off each night or when I’m doing something that might hurt it.

I switch between my engagement ring / wedding band set that is soldered together, and a diamond pave wedding band from Tiffany’s I wear when I don’t want the full set. Regardless, I take them off right when I get home, put it in the ring holder on my nightstand by my bed and put it back on when I leave the house. It is not uncomfortable with them on necessarily, but I just feel more comfortable with them off when I am home. Bra off, sweats on, rings off, then I can work out / cook / relax for the night without worrying about them.
