I’m hosting a shower for a girlfriend of mine and we’re playing a couple low-key games. We wanted to give small (preferably under $20 US) gifts to the winners, but I’m drawing a blank. I don’t want anything too theme-y, as the gifts should be something useful and universally liked. Some of the ideas we’ve had so far are movie theater passes, scented candles and small home items like picture frames and vases. I’m feeling like it’s all a little uninspired, though. I’d love to hear some of your suggestions.

I gave away lotions. The favors were chocolates at my cousins and candles at my sisters.

My bridesmaid’s did M&M’s and Hershey Kisses with out names and wedding date as favors at the shower and then the prizes for the game winners were cute lotions and body washes from Bath and Body workd in our wedding colors

For my shower we are doing a chinese auction of different gifts/baskets around $25 in value. Some examples are: Bath & Bodyworks basket, A movie themed basket, a wine basket, a summer-themed glass pitcher and glass set, a stationary basket, etc. Each guest will receive 4 or 5 tickets (bridal themed purchased from the craft store) and get to put them in a bag for the baskets they want. While I’m opening gifts, they will pick winners from the bags.
Also, a game of bridal bingo will be played while I’m opening my gifts. Prizes for this are up to $3 in value and include things like: a reusable shopping bag, lotion, scratch-off lotto tix, coffee mug, tea towels, magnetic notepads, etc.
We’re also giving away the centerpieces that we are making. My mom is going kind of crazy with this shower! 🙂

do you have a dollar tree near you? that’s where my Maid/Matron of Honor went. she got some great stuff from there! put together a few baskets with stuff from there. 🙂

It was really hard to think of gifts! I can’t remember all of them but I remember candles, lotions, an ice cream bowl set, scented diffusers. Yeah, that’s all that comes to mind. Nothing too exciting!

Since we had a travel/honeymoon themed shower we gave away Italian soaps that were in pretty boxes with Italian designs and wire ribbon that we got for about $6 each from TJMaxx!
