I am working on one now using hot glue. It is somewhat time consuming but I have looked at used ones where they use the spray adhesive and well I don’t want mine to look like that when we unroll it. Mine needs to be 55.5 feet long. I have 22ft done in just my spare time the past 2 weeks. I am also royally anal lol so I am slow and putting the petals in a flower pattern instead of random petals. I wouldn’t trade the time for anything, it is beautiful( and my only decoration for the ceremony) and only cost $70 in all.

ive made one for another bride and i used hot glue with low temp glue sticks. the spray adhesive basiclly gets everywhere and unless you use a lot the petals can come undone. if you use to much though the whole strip becomes to soft. sewing just a simple stitch also works but again is time consuming<3

@VixyVeggie: It just looked cheap, petals missing and falling off. I assume that this would happen if you make it any decent amount ahead of time. Sorry should have been more specific. I guess I figured why diy something to save a grand if it won’t look comparable to the Petal Happy ones.
