I’ve been wanting to wax for a while, but haven’t done it yet.  How long should the hair be before you do it for the first time?

I’m thanking my lucky stars on this one.. but I asked my Fiance if I should shave/wax instead of my normal trim (just enough so I’m not like a caveman down there!!!) He said he actually prefered me having a little something down there! Although I am thinking of getting a wax before the wedding just to surprise him 😀

I wax myself. Yes. You read right. I had it done to me maybe twice for $50 a pop, figured it was easier to buy a wax warmer and a muslin roll for the same price on amazon.com. The most painful parts would’ve been the center right where my *ahem* pleasure button was closest. Waxing the front side is easiest because you can see how your hair grows. But I gave up and shaved the underside. Just have to be careful.

Eventually after the 2nd try I began to understand how to wax the lower region better. It isn’t painful at the frontal area, and I’d dare say threading is more painful than this. The results are worth it. I don’t grow back until maybe 2 months later. Not even fully though. The ladies at the salon who’ve waxed me before said that I had less hair than most (funny because my armpits are probably more hairy than my FI’s!) I don’t see full bushes all day so…I will take their word for it.

I shave, I’ve never waxed (not loving the thought of someone else exploring down there, even though they probably do it 10x a day)…I shave there every 5 days or so, anymore and it becomes irritated and bumpy. Fiance has never had anything negative to say, so I assume it’s fine? I’ll ask. Now I’m curious! lol

@kerpao:  For the past 8+ years or so, I’ve been 100% bare (just tiny stubble in between shaving). I feel SO much more clean without any, never had the thought of feeling like a little kid before. Fiance loves it too.

I don’t get the association made between the shaven vajayjay of an adult woman and pedophilia/ pre-pubescent children.   It’s not like my husband is fantasizing about children… he’s into it b/c it’s another version of me.  If you’ve never tried it, the sensation is completely different than with hair~ pretty amazing actually.

I actually shave then use veet a day after when the stubble appears – does the trick. Just don’t use around the actual vaginal areas, just the front pubic region. Works a treat

I shave every day – I personally myself like everything to be bare down there, I feel cleaner. And it’s better in the bedroom too hehe, soooo much better. Have been shaving there since I was 17!

I moisturise by putting baby oil (not everywhere, just on the ‘main bit’ under my stomach). And I’ve never ever had any complaints regarding stubble, I don’t even get any (I’m very regular with when I shave it) 🙂

@QuietOne:  actually it’s his stubble that bothers me when he shaves down there…

@QuietOne:  He complains or makes comments all the time. If I don’t shave for a while he complains about it getting unruly and when I do he complains about the stubble. His favorite word for that is “Ewwwww” in a little kid tone of voice. He does it with the stubble on my legs too. Lol. I wish he’d shave more. Then I could complain about his. He’s lucky that I love to upkeep because it seriously bothers me that he doesn’t. =/

I used to pay $80 for waxes and they were worth every penny.  My shaven stubble is like thumbtacks pointy-side up.  Awful.

I eventually got lasered and it was by far the best beauty splurge I’ve ever EVER made.  It’s not all gone after 6 sessions, but 1.5 years after my last session the stubble that I have now is so soft, you hardly even feel it.

I prefer to wax, I pay $34 where i live and it lasts around 6 weeks, sometimes a little more.

I hate shaving, it gets itchy for me the very next day. Not very lady like to be scratching down there lol

@jjmomma:

I totally agree. Smooth skin makes for a totally different sensation!

I could go weeks without shaving and he doesn’t care as long as he’s getting some.  Wink

However, he did say he notices a difference when I wax, how much smoother it feels.  I am going to get the at home wax kit cuz these waxes cost a fortune, and Fiance said he’d do it for me lol   I could never do it myself.

@WhatMaeBee:  I don’t know, i’ve been pare about a total of five times in my entire life time. My sister likes the whole clean bare feeling too but i guess is just prefer having a landing strip.
