I’m just curious – did people make jusdgemental comments about the silk flowers? I don’t know why, but I’ve always attached a negative connotation to artifical flowers. I’ve seen gorgeous work on the bee though.
What what your experience?

I think it depends on your social circles/culture. My friend is getting married in April and she’s doing silk flowers and so far it looks fine. Her whole family has used silk flowers, so I think it’s the norm for her.

No one made any comments, no one had any opinions and there wasn’t one fresh flower that appeared in my wedding. People don’t go to weddings to inspect your flowers.

My Fiance refused to have fake flowers in our wedding, he thought I was crazy for even suggesting. I’ve been in one wedding where they used them and I kinda thought it was strange but they were young and paying for it themselves so I didn’t judge. Now planning my own wedding I can see how they can be a good alternative and am planning to use them in centerpieces that Fiance won’t even notice. I have gotten comments from bridal party and family that fake flowers are cheap and tacky but I refuse to pay full price for centerpiece flowers no one really cares about.

My friend, back in 2006, has fake flowers, and I thought they were gorgeous. You totally knew they were fake because there were black roses with red roses, but no one said anything and I personally thought they were creative and awesome.

I made my flowers and everyone loved them. I had so many people tell me how amazing they looked during the wedding. They best thing was that I get to re-sell them now. Our venue holds bridal garage sales every few months and I am excited to sell some of my flowers.. But the best part is I can keep my bridal bouquet FOREVER!
