marriedbliss :   I got a BFP on my fourth cycle (unfortunately ended at 6 weeks with MC) but we weren’t doing anything different except BD more leading up to O day (Hit O-5, O-3, O-2, O-1, & O+1).  Are you temping?  I think that temping along with OPKs really helped us as I was able to have a pretty good idea of when I was going to O before hand (between CD 13-16). Our BFP was our 3rd cycle using OPKs & temping so thats what we are sticking with for right now. I did start attending warm yoga classes 3 times a week a few weeks before my cycle also, but I don’t know if that would impact anything other than keeping me from losing my mind with TTC.  Good luck to you! hopefully #4 is lucky for you 🙂

We haven’t been trying all that long, but it feels like an eternity already because I started temping, using OPKs, and monitoring CM the cycle before we were actually TTC, and we’ve already had one MC. The cycle I got my BFP (which ended in a MC at 6.5 weeks), we BD’d every day rather than every other day (hit O-3, O-2, O-1, O, and O+1), and I also made a point to remain lying down for 20 min after each BD lol. I know it’s an old wives’ tale that lying down afterwards makes any difference, but I figured it can’t hurt!

I def think temping and OPKs are key for anyone who’s getting restless about TTC. I tend to ovulate on the early side, and without temping/OPKs, I might miss my FW entirely.

I honestly can’t say we’ve done anything different to get a BFP, which is so annoying to hear, I know. With my son, and our MC we got pregnant first cycle, but I’ve been doing the same thing since the MC and so far no success.

It sucks, because you want to know you’re doing all that you can, but in reality it’s so far out of your hands. For me I’ve found that doing the ‘old wives tales’ that probably don’t actually help make me feel LOADS better, since I can tell myself I’m doing my best.

Both times I fell pregnant (1st after 8 cycles that ended in mc and 2nd time after another 3 cycles that resulted in my 4 week old son ☺️) I was doing the same thing.

temping, clearblue digital OPK’s (expensive but so accurate, I found it hard to tell my positives on the first response), baby aspirin and BD every other day until positive OPK and then every day until temp rise confirmed ovulation.

These were the only 2 cycles I did all of the above so 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Best of luck!

marriedbliss :  We conceived on our 9th cycle…. 9 cycles of charting, temping, OPKs, switching up vitamins and supplments (for both of us), preseed, etc. The one thing that I did differently during the cycle we got our BFP was weekly acupuncture and an effort to incorporate prenatal yoga into the week before and after I ovulated.  My husband also stopped taking his anxiety meds for a few days in my fertile window (without telling me)… So that could have contributed too.

marriedbliss :  the month I has a chemical pregnancy the major change was it was the first month I did acupuncture consistently thru my cycle (I went 3-4x that cycle) I had gone the cycle before but it was just once and not near ovulation, which is apparently when it’s important.  That was my 6th cycle (assuming the one I was traveling and couldn’t BD doesn’t count).

Now I’m on my 3rd cycle post CP and I will say my temps seem to really be benefitting from acupuncture. They’re a lot smoother and in general my rise in my LP is a lot stronger.  I’m hopeful I’ll get another bfp soon…

While it didn’t take us too long to get our BFP, I just wanted to say that I found meditating really helpful, especially during the TWW. I’m not a huge meditator and I’m not contributing this to our BFP, per se, but even a few minutes of meditiation a day seems to help ground and center me and stop all of the crazy symptom spotting and what-if-ing (especially right before bed). I used a free app called 10% Happier and I have a friend who swears by Headspace.

I also drank POM juice from about O to a few days after BFP. Supposedly it thickens your uterine lining. Who knows. Just throwing it out there.

marriedbliss :  did you ever try preseed? Also try not to use normal lube bc it can kill sperm. I got KU after one time BD with DH uusing preseed. I wasn’t even in the fertile window according to my app. Whatever you do, don’t go to the bathroom or wipe everything up after. Give it 20 min before moving. Try to lay down afterwards and relax.

We got pregnant on our 6th cycle trying. I had been temping, using opks, and I even tried a few sessions of acupuncture. The cycle I got my BFP I had stopped temping, was saying nightly positive affirmations, trying to relax, and I took B6 following ovulation hoping it would help extend my 11 day LP. I did get pregnant a year ago when we were NTNP (unfortunately ended in MC) but I wasn’t doing anything back then.

I still think it’s a numbers game, but here’s what I did differently.  I did acupuncture the whole cycle, and we were better about hitting days before O. We got O-1, 3, and 5.  Doing it every day is fine if it works for you guys! My husband thought a bit of a break made for better sperm volume, so we did it every 36 hours (a compromise between every day and every other day).

I was taking a bunch of vitamins and using pre-seed as well, but if I had to guess what helped the month we got pregnant, acupuncture and BD timing. And luck.  We got pregnant on our 5th cycle.

marriedbliss :  wow that’s terrible. I generally can’t even really feel the acupuncture. I feel the tube that aims the needle, but not the needle itself.
