You know, I think it’s great that she has figured out a way to feel confident, especially since looking flawless is part of her job.  At the same time, you have to wonder if all of the makeup she puts on every day is part of what makes her acne so bad.  It sounds like she started wearing it a while ago, but she’s only 19–it’s not uncommon for teenagers to have acne that later dimishes or goes away completely.  In my opinion, it’s worthwhile to try a variety of skincare routines and, if necessary, medications that specifically treat acne, before submitting yourself to what looks like a time-consuming daily routine and is not permanent.  I found that wearing makeup actually made my acne much worse, because even the best clogs your pores.  Just my $0.02.

TL;DR: Neat, but for a longer-term solution, try things other than makeup first.

I have actually watched quite a few of her youtube videos, and she has said that she has tried everything for her acne, but it hasn’t really worked. I have had acne since I was 11, and I have gotten so many great tips from her videos. If you have acne and are looking for a good makeup routine, I definitely recommend checking her out!

This girl and I have the same type of acne. I’ve tried EVERYTHING from topicals to oral antibiotics to even accutane. I have been on accutane 3 separate times. It cleared up my skin completely for a bit, then my acne would come back full force. Finally, after yeaaaars of prescriptions I am on an off label medicatiOn that doesn’t completely clear my skin…I get occasional breakouts/small pimples …but it helps. Now I look like a normal person with an occassional zit instead of a zitty teenager. There’s much more to some acne cases then what the average person suffers from.

I watched 3 of her videos in a row after seeing this. My acne is not nearly as bad, but I always get scars. It had cleared up considerably until I got pregnant and now I have a leopard face. I can’t afford all the brands she buys, but I’ve certainly learned a lot and plan to put her tips to use soon so that I can really look like a glowing pregnant lady.

While her makeup will change the color of her face and hide her acne redness it will not give her a smooth flawless face. All her modeling photos are photoshoped to smooth her complexion. But anyways it is good for her for finding something that makes her confident. While she says she hs tried everything I wonder if she laid off the makeup while trying any of these solutions? It can take months even years to fully clear your complexion and I doubt she could handle going without makeup for that long. She may even be having a allegic reaction to something and not even realizing it.
