- Wedding: September 2010
I grew up as a traveller and so have a genuine love of nature – Simon has no experiences of this sort so having done our annual holiday each year somewhere historical and generally hot!
I introduced Simon to “Jenny” my pride and joy! a van that I’ve been slowly turning into a camper van like the one I grew up in, it’s small and our bed takes up most of the back of the van, but I’ve built a bed frame closed off inside but accessible from the back for storage, and then another storage bench thing along the side (it’s only small because of the be) but It’s where you can keep the calor gas stove and food. I haven’t wired it, but i have battery lit spot lights on the roof. I’ve carpeted the floor, insulated the walls, put in a window in the sliding door, made curtains to divide the driving seat and the back ,and then the two windows.
We took it all up and round Wales we camped and walked for miles – luckily Simon and I have stayed strong through all the wedding problems, family fights, and rows. But the week brought us closer together, muddy in the daytime and curled up together at night keeping warm in the most beautiful place in the world.
every one should try it!!!
