THat’s the weird thing about FB and unehanced moissanite… the warranty cards aren’t stone specific. that has always struck me as odd.

Well, the original warranty was given because people seemed uncertain about buying this new stone no one had heard of, and they wanted people to know it was a “forever” stone, and to differentiate it from simulants like CZ, so they offered a warranty on the color and brilliance, which we all know to be completely useless becaus the atomic structure of SiC is not going to change over time, but I digress.

Since the regular moissanite is not graded other than VG and lower quality, it doesn’t make sense to have each one individually appraised and certed, that takes money and time, both of which would increase the cost of the stones.

For FB, Charles and Colvard were copying BTD in offering enhanced stones, including the grading, but again, they are not individually graded like the BTD ones, they just come with a generic FB warranty card that again, is useless because it covers the inherent physical properties of the stone that will never change.

@FutureMrsNRoss:  We got my ring last week from MoissaniteCo. We purchased a FB upgrade and we did recieved the warranty card that says it is Forever Briliant. It is like a credit card and it has a code that we have to register on the Charles & Colvard website. I really think you should contact MoissaniteCo to see whats going on…

@FutureMrsNRoss:  Lol, it’s not stupid! The “girdle” is the part of the stone where the top and bottom meet. 🙂 I’m glad my response was helpful!
