I have been engaged for four days, but thought this was a good time to post a few pictures of my engagement ring and my thoughts about the enhancement. While I was researching about moissanites, it seemed like everyone touted Amora as being the best of the best, and didn’t see many Forever Brilliants at all, especially on these boards. However, when the Amora became out-of-stock on Moissanite Co, many people started debating bewteen waiting for the Amora, or taking a risk and going with the FB. My fiancé and I took the risk, and now I am the proud owner of a beautiful 1.25 ct FB enhanced solitaire from Moissanite Co.
I hope bees debating between an FB and Amora can find this helpful. I know I would have loved more pictures during my search.
For reference: Again, the stone is 1.25 ct, sitting on my size 3.5 finger, and is in the SOL011 setting from Moissanite Co.
Unfortunately now that I live in Seattle, I seem to have zero access to direct sunlight, but when I do, I will post a picture. I will have you know that in sunlight and on the airplane, this baby sparkles like crazy, and is so white! Then again, it is white and sparkly everywhere — and even after four days, I have gotten many compliments from total strangers.
Note: These pics were also taken using a crappy iPhone camera, so bare with the less-than-stellar quality.
This picture was taken in low dining room lightining while I lived in GA. Very white!
This picture was taken in my new bedroom that has one lighting source — a dim lamp on a bedside table.
This picture was taken in kitchen lighting.
This picture was taken in indirect light on my balcony, in Seattle WA (it’s overcast…)
This picture was taken near a window — again, strong sunlight is rare.
Like many moissanite owners say, the pictures do not, under any circumstances do this stone justice. It is gorgeous, stunningly gorgeous, without a hint of color to be seen. When I get my DSLR, I will post better quality pictures that might help a bit more.
Overall, I am in love with my ring. It is too breathtaking to be true, and I am so glad I took a “risk” and ended up with a ring that looks just as great as an Amora. Next to a friends Amora, this ring looks the same, and perhaps even better. I believe people who hop onto the Amora train fail to realize that Amora directly competes with Forever Brilliant, so sources like betterthandiamond are very biased towards their own creation.
Buying from Moissanite Co was a wonderful experience. The customer service is top-notch, answered questions (like 10 from me!) within the hour in my case, and my ring arrived in beautiful packaging, and just as expected. Don’t hesitate to bring your business to them — they are a truly wonderful company.
I am proud of my ring, and hope these pictures were of some help.
