Amora Moissanites® are made whiter through a proprietary HPHT process which purifies the stone at the atomic level resulting in a whiter, more colorless stone. It is a permanent/non-reversible process.

“Forever Brilliant” is the premium brand of Moissanite offered by Charles & Colvard. It is cut from the premium quality Moissanite rough and is several color grades (2 – 3 shades) whiter than the regular Moissanite gemstones.

Amora Gem is completely different altogether, and lab grown. The crystal structure of the Amora Gem is distinct, and optically superior, to the crystal structure of Moissanite by Charles and Colvard. Both Amora Gem and Moissanite by Charles and Colvard are members of the ‘Silicon Carbide’ family of crystals – there are over 200+ members of this family. Silicon Carbide simply means the crystal is made using silicon and carbon…the internal crystal structure using these elements can vary dramatically, with very different optical, chemical and physical properties as a result. Think of diamond vs. graphite – both are crystals made of carbon, yet display very different properties. For example, Amora Gem will never tint green the way Moissanite can, and is natively D-F color, or true colorless. The Amora Gem however, is much harder and more difficult to grow than Moissanite.

Yes, I definitely agree with the order listed.  I personally went with the Amora Gem (larger stone than I wanted, and they just re-stocked this week with some really good stone sizes if you’re interested!).  I like the stone, but know I will love it once it is set.

Amora is not layered, no.
