I’ve recently come across the new hearts & arrows cut option on MoissaniteCo and I’ve done some research to try and compare RB to H&A. Honestly, I can’t decide. I really like the cut of H&A, but I love the sparkles of a moissanite and I worry that I may be sacrificing that with H&A. I haven’t had the opportunity to see what a moissanite looks like in person as there are no jewellers around me that sell them. I am wondering if H&A sparkles significantly less than the RB?? Will I still have that breathtaking fire that characterizes moissanite? Does the RB moissanite sparkle so much that it’s obvious it’s not a diamond? Any comparisons are greatly appreciated.

I will tell you from experience of buying lots of moissanite jewelry, you will never truly know what you prefer until you see it in person. I have an F1 round brilliant and I just ordered an h&a to see if there’s a significant difference. I can post pics when I have it. But I definitely recommend ordering both stones to compare side by side. I also heard a rumor that they are discontinuing the round brilliant cut and will only have h&a cuts in the near future. So you might want to act fast in case you do prefer the round brilliant. I for one am super excited to see the h&a because the flat top and splintery appearance always bothered me with the round brilliant cuts.

I agree with @tizlet, the best thing to do is order both loose and send them back within the refund period to have the one you prefer set.
Some people think they’ll like the fire and sparkle of moissanite and don’t. I for one wasn’t a huge fan when I had my FB RB. It also did some weird things in different lighting conditions that bothered me. I upgraded to the MoCo H&A and I love it. Sparkly enough without looking odd.
Have you seen videos comparing a regular F1 to MoCos H&A? I thought they were posted somewhere.

Yes, I have.. but similarly it’s hard to tell the sparkle factor because many people say the camera doesn’t do it justice! I may have to do that.

That makes sense. I ordered two stones when I got my FB, an FB and OEC, and I’m glad I did. With such an important ring it makes sense to make sure you’re going to like what you end up with. Also, it will help you avoid getting a dud. I personally think the MoCo H&As have been really consistent, but I can’t say the same for the F1s I’ve seen on the bee. A few of the F1s are amazing and not much different from the H&As. Just make sure you fully understand the return policy 🙂

The hearts and arrows cut is still very sparkly. But it sparkles differently than the F1 rounds brilliants. The hearts and arrows cut has larger flashes whereas the RB’s has smaller more splintery sparkles. Here’s a few videos of my hearts and arrows moissanite with F1 wedding band for reference
