Sooo here is the deal thought we found the ring but now he is getting cold feet about the price and the durability of the setting. So we are wanting to do a one of a kind solitare setting with a 2-3ct moissanite. But here is the big question forever one or forever brilliant? I hear they are both very beautiful but I would love to hear you ladies opinions! If you could also let me know what ct size would look better, I like the look of larger stones but I am not 100% sure if 3ct would be too much or not I am a size 6. Thanks in advance ladies!
Sorry for such a long post!

Forever one is colorless, while forever brilliant is near-colorless and often has more of a yellow tint in certain lighting 🙂

If you want a really white stone, almost steely and blue, then I would go with the F1. If you like a bit of warmth in your stone, but still want a whiter stone than the unenhanced, I would go with the FB. Here is my F1 for reference!

it depends on what your preference is. If you like a little warmth to your stone, you should go with Forever Brilliant. If you’re super color sensitive like I am and prefer something more white I would do Forever One.
I just got my Forever One And posted it about an hour ago. It’s white but in different lighting gives off a rainbow color, it’s absolutely beautiful. Here’s a photo of you didn’t see the post! It’s a 1.5ct stone on a 7 1/2 size finger.

The bigger you go with FB moissanite the more the color shows. If you don’t mind it being moody (ie. Changing color in cloudy weather etc,) go for it! If you want a consistent color and colorless go with the F1.

…I LOVE your nails! Looks like forever one is the winner

I’m extremely color sensitive and dislike most warm colors so I went with the F1. It’s gorgeous and matches the diamonds in the shank very well. The below pic is from a cloudy day in my all grey interior car 🙂 because I’ve only had about 8 seconds of sunshine since the proposal 2 weeks ago.

I say F1 but with your ring size, definitely keep it to a 2ct. It will look quite substantial on your finger. I have a 2ct on a size 9 finger and I still get looks and people talking about how big my stone is. You’ll get even more comments I’m sure, so personally I don’t think you’ll need bigger. However, pick what makes you happy!

I went for FB because I like a bit of warmth, BUT… My stone was 1 carat. If I was going any bigger than that, I would probably be considering the F1 since I know larger stones show more colour!
ETA: I was going back and forwards between one or two carats, I would definitely try similar sized stones on before you buy. I was quite surprised how big my 1 carat seemed when it arrived, so I think had I gone bigger I probably would have regretted it!

I can fully understand the reason you were put off by the price a diamond can be, particularly at the size you are looking at.
I think it depends on your taste for colour and how colour sensitive you are. But personally if you want it to be pretty white then I would go with the Forever One, especially with the size you are going for because the bigger sizes will show more moodiness and colour.
As for which size to go for… That’s down to your preference. Maybe go to a jewellery store and try on the sizes to get an idea of how it will look on your hand?

As other bees have mentioned, since you are going for a bigger stone, I would choose the forever one over the brilliant. I have a 7.5mm or 2.2ct equivalent cushion forever one solitaire on a 4.75 finger. It is plenty of coverage for me and I personally wouldn’t go bigger. I included a real life perspective photo for you. Definitly go try on rings in the carat size you want/style of ring you want in order to get a good feel of what size you are comfortable with.

I have a FB OEC 8mm = 2ct on a size 6 for size reference. Sometimes I feel like I should have gone smaller, but then if I would have went smaller, I probably would want a bigger stone LOL
