Forevermark diamonds are manufactured by hasenfeld-stein. They are a site holder and major manufacturer of fine round brilliant and princess cuts. These diamonds are then marketed as a branded stone for DeBeers (along with the Firemark stones). Forevermark diamonds are the cream of their production, which they brand and market as “the most perfectly cut diamond”. They are extraordinarily beautiful, and cut to exacting specifications. Forevermark eligible diamonds are a subset of what would qualify as an AGS0, which is more strict than GIAXXX, meaning that not all diamonds that qualify as AGS0 qualify as forevermark. They make no compromises in cutting. There is no effort made to “make weight”. They are amazing. You pay a huge premium for them.

BUT — their retailers offer terrible upgrade/trade-in policies AND other branded stones have as good or better performance thanks to precision cutting AND these online companies will charge you a lot less. For my money, I’d look at Whiteflash ACA, Brian Gavin Signature, HighPerformanceDiamonds, and GoodOldGold Ascendancy. You will get the same perfection in cutting and performance for much less. WF and HPD allow you to put 100% of the cost of the diamond toward an upgrade to any other of their branded stones.

I am particularity fond of HPD and the owner, Wink, is truly one of the most courtly and gentlemanly people in diamond selling.
