The transition in the first dress is what I actually love about it. But ultimately, you don’t sound convinnced. You should go with which ever makes you happiest. I know I would hate to go through my day with loving everything about my dress BUT this one thing…

    You should love it all.

It’s got to be Shaylyn.  While I’m sure what I’m reacting to is the lack of fit of Doreen on you, Shaylyn is so stunning and gorgeous on you that when I scroll down to Doreen, I don’t feel the same.  Hope this helps and good luck with the search. I can feel it – you are so close to a decision! πŸ™‚

I think the first dress is AH-MAZING.

But, if you’re standing up on the stool thingy in that picture, I can see why you think it might make you feel like it could make you shorter.   As well, the practical side of me says if you have to hem it, all that detail at the bottom can’t really be just cut off, and hemmed.  If cost is a major factor, you might want to find out what the cost of alterations might be, or if you can order it in petite.

    Ok, enough downer-ness.  BEAUTIFUL!

Yeah, I always thought I rocked dresses when I was up on the stool too (I’m 5’3″), but sometimes it was a different story once I got real with myself that I’m not 5’8″ with legs that just keep on going.

Both are fantastic dresses though πŸ™‚

    Um SHALYN hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at the shape it gives you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT:  I know how you feel about the cutting off thing, I fell in love with a Maggie dress exactly like Shaylyn, but couldn’t get over the cut off thing… I ended up falling in love with Blue by Enzoani, Cheyenne… maybe you can try it on, it’s sorta similar in some ways, but has the gradual fitted look that you’re going for… I’m also 5’2″ πŸ™‚

Shalyn looks beautiful on you.  And you have the “Yes, This is the Dress” smile.  You really glow in this dress.

Ask if you can order a petite dress because it will be better sized for your height.  If not, a really good seamstress can do the job.

    Good Luck:)

Still love the first one on you! Is there anyway you could have a hollow-to-hem done on this dress so it is customized to your height? We’re about the same height and have a similar dress style, and this is what I did to mine.

Or I’m sure the option of ordering your dress in a petite size, like other bees have mentioned, would work out well also πŸ™‚

From the photos, I think the first one looks better, but the angle is also more flattering.

I like the first one better too, although the fit and pic quality of 2 may be swaying my opinion.

It’s worth it to check if the petite version will be adjusted proportionally, or just shorter skirt.
