@soon2beemrs: hello,

it’s so funny, I found the same dress in Europe. I’m french and I live in NYC.

I’m crazy about this dress too but the dress in Europe was 1700 euros. What about you? And on foryoudresses, its 350$.

I’m just afraid of trusting this websites..

@childnurse: Please DO NOT buy from this company.. I brought my wedding dress veil , 4 bridesmaid dresses and 2 flower girl dresses from them…  They were dreadful… not at all as described, did not fit … in short I had a month to go and had to find all the dresses again… It gets worse as you pay by PAYPAL and then by the time you get dresses you are over PAYPAL’s 45 day cover… so NO refund… It has been a nightmare… Please do not let them get you xx

I ordered the Pronovias Malaga from them last year and was very worried since it was so cheap. the sticker price was 1600 but they had it for 400. But my budget was small and I ordered anyways. My dress came in 2 months late and it was ridiculous. NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE. It wasn’t even the same dress and it was way too big. My aunt is a seamstress and I had her measure me. The measurements were prefect but the dress looked terrible. They used very cheap materials, it was the wrong lace, and very poorly made. I thought I was in luck because they had a return policy but they refused to send me the return address. The email said that I should be happy with what I got. In the end, I couldn’t find anyone to buy it on craigslist or ebay. I ended up buying the one from the store for 1600 and paying 300 dollar to have it altered because it was too late to order one in my size. (i had to buy the dirty display one size 12, I’m a size 2) So the whole thing ended up costing me 2300!!!! Please do not buy from they. Very mean people.

I’m so upset that there people who have had a bad experience with foryoudresses.  I ordered the Pronovias Adorno dress from them in January 2011 after trying it on in a bridal shop in Scotland.  The price in the shop was £1700 which was far too expensive and it broke my heart because it was my dream dress and I knew i just couldn’t justify spending that amount of money on a dress! So frantically I started searching the internet to see if I could get it cheaper, and I found foryoudresses.com.  They had my dream dress and were selling it for £300 including postage! I couldn’t believe my luck so I frantically ordered it.  It wasn’t until after I ordered it and had submitted my MUM’S credit card details that it dawned on me that this couldn quite easily be a scam! So I started to e-mail Leah at foryoudresses to try and put my mind at ease.  She was so helpful and although my mind wasn’t totally at ease I at least knew there was a real person behind the website.  I started to research the site on forums like this one and my stomach started to turn again as I kept finding negative reviews! Leah told me my dress would be ready at the end of February/beginning of March, so the time came for my dress to be finished but I hadn’t heard anything, really worried I e-mailed Leah again and she explained that they had been very busy and would have it finished within 3 days.  Three days later, Leah e-mailed me with pictures of my completed dress! It didn’t look exactly the same but for £300 I couldn’t complain as it was almost the same.  A week later and my dress arrived!! And it was absolutely PERFECT!!!! I couldn’t believe it, the pictures hadn’t done it justice and I couldn’t see all the gorgeous details on the dress.  It was exactly the same as the one in the shop and the quality of the workmanship was second-to-none.  I mean absolutely perfect.  I really hope that this helps put at least one person’s mind at ease if you have ordered from Leah or are thinking of ordering.  I wouldn’t pressure anyone in to ordering from foryoudresses as you can’t ignore the negative comments and it could be that I’ve just been one of the lucky ones, but I couldn’t speak more highly of Leah and foryoudresses, she has done an absolutely amazing job with my dress and has made me so so happy and I hope she can do the same for other brides who can’t afford their dream dress!

@CaptainSpaulding:

Yeah don’t trust those reviews. If you look at there profile the only thing they have commented on is things about the online dress stores..

I hate that! How do you know when you can trust reviews??

Hi there, I’m new to the site due to the above comments and hope that I can help.  This is my very first comment.

I have ordered my dress from this website.  I received the photos via email just over a week ago and I am very pleased so far with what I have seen.  My Dress is due to be delivered this week and Yes I am very nervous.  Of course the dress is not going to be as nice as “the original” but it looks like a pretty good version.  I’m hoping that I am not going to be disappointed.  The original dress I liked was £1600 and this was £300 (give or take a few quid) including delivery, so I’m NOT expecting perfection.  A little tweaking may be necessary.

SO please give me a few days and I will, I promise you, add extra comments as soon as I have received my dress.  I promise you I’m NOT a fake.

The only negative I have at the moment is that I had a phonecall from DHL regarding TAX on my parcel, which I was unaware of and it does not say anything about this on the website (If it does then either I can’t see or they hide it well!!), I have emailed Leah regarding this.  Although it was only £10.82 but what if it had been more!!!!  It’s stressful enough planning a wedding (or 10 Year Anniversary Vow Renewal for me) as it is!!  My heart sank and I thought “oh Crap!!!! (well worse actually but I won’t repeat THAT!!!).  I would have hit the roof should it have been more.  So please just be aware of this should you order from them or make sure you mention this.

Watch this space…. I will be back with my final comments by the end of the week.  Wish me luck!!!

Well hello again Ladies.

Sorry it has taken longer to post.

I can’t fault this company, I really can’t.  I received my dress a few days after commenting the first time, earlier than I expected.  I was absolutely pooping my pants when I received my package, I took it round to my friends house who is a dressmaker and seamstress (yes I know she should have made it for me but she’s very busy), she opened it for me.  I was absolutely speachless, my dress is amazing.  I’m really not just saying that and i’m NOT a fake.  The pictures that Leah sent to me did it NO justice whatsoever.  My friend said it was beautiful and fantastic craftmanship.  It really is beautiful.  SO I went home and tried it on with the help of one of my friends as it’s a lace up back.  It’s a perfect fit.  It will need some altering nearer the date as I will have lost some weight by then.  I ordered it early just in case it was a total mess as you just never know.  You do hear some horror stories.  I went with my gut feeling and got it right.  I just had to let you know that this is a very professional company and I am thrilled that it all turned out right in the end.  Not everyone will have a brilliant experience as we are all different.  One of my best friends is getting married next year and after seeing my dress she will be ordering her’s from this site also.  Hopefully she will have a beautiful dress just like me.  I’m hoping that everyone else who orders from this company also have a good experience.  So on that note, good luck ladies, I hope it all works out for you.
