How nontraditional.  Do you mean a classical piece that’s not common for weddings, or, like, Justin Timberlake?  LOL.  I’ve got some thoughts, I just wanna hear more about what you’re thinking.

we had a solo cellist and here is our music-

officiant/ mens entrance- bach cello suite

girls / flower girl- minuet in g

-me over the rainbow

recessional – la rejouissance

we also had the cellist accompany our friend who sang come what may- which would be a lovely entrance song!

If you’re looking for something a bit odd, but v sweet, have a look at

Nick Cave’s Into My Arms.

You’ll find it on youtube. If our priest ok’s it, it’ll feature somewhere for us. Prob easy enough to alter arrangement to suit diff instruments.

Is your ceremony v religious, or more relaxed?

I just had another look at the lyrics to that, and I think I’ll lean on the priest. It really is sweet, but not soppy.

oh the cello and guitar are really lovely together!  I am having a trio with cello, oboe, and flute.  “Ashokan Farewell” sounds really great with the cello and guitar.  Its a sweet selection.  Check out this link, and select “ashokan Farewell” to hear the cellist and classical guitarist playing.  Its really lovely!  Im having that as my processional! 🙂
