@Jeannine @ Small Chic: So, Jeannine..I am going to ask you, as well, since you might remember and you were the one to photograph the dresses many times. Do you know how many different Vanitas CSB has? I love the one you posted in your link (size 10 for $400), but I also see they added another today on the blog. Also, do you know which dress is in better shape between the Vanita you posted and the recent post by Michelle from Alvina Valenta? Lastly, there is a Lazaro size 20 that is quite lovely, but I am curious if there are complications when sizing down so much (roughly 7 sizes!!)? I hate to bombard Michelle and I tried to call the shop, but they appear to be closed and I thought you might have a general idea. No worries if not. Thanks so much!!

@boombacha:I have a feeling it will be quite a feat (and quite expensive!) to alter a size 20 down to a 6. I don’t think I’d try it…you’ll spend more on alterations than on the dress and even then, who knows if the shape will remain? You’d probably need a dressmaker, not just a seamstress to do the job.
I don’t remember a different Vanitas…just the one that’s on the blog. Can you link to the other one?
The Alvena 9017 is actually coming up on the blog tomorrow. I don’t remember what condition it was in…but I do know the tulle skirt was far more fluffy at the bottom than the runway dress.
I can’t say much about the condition of any of them. I don’t really see about the little flaws because the prices are so insane. Adding in the price of cleaning and some alterations seems like a drop in the bucket in light of the discounts.
I mean, I laughed when I saw this. Double the price and it’s still amazing.

@boombacha: Since you tend to like the really fashion forward stuff, here are a few you might like…

@mduncanywca: You definitely have me confused by “floor boob area”. Lol. The better shape dress is the blog Vanita or this Vanita:
Love them both, but what could you add for modesty under the gap in the chest on the blog dress? Any ideas?
@Jeannine @ Small Chic:
LOVE those options. You are so freakin’ helpful, if I haven’t told you lately!! Who is the ruffle dress with a collar designed by? The tag is a bit blurry and I am trying to google images. 🙂

At this time we are going to ask that this conversation move to the Classifieds. This is a little too close to the line of self-promotion and we want to be fair to all our members.
Good luck in your dress hunting and supporting a very worthy cause!
