Im so dissapointed i tried on this beautiful dress today was convinced it was the one i knew it was similar to a dress a friend wore to her wedding but didnt realise til i went home and looked at her pics on facebook and realised that it is exactly the same one :*(
i know she would be annoyed if i got the same dress even though her wedding was over a year ago even if i did order it with a different neckline at the end of the day it’s still the same dress… i’m going to have to go back and choose another one 🙁 its stressing me out so much!

If it’s THE dress and you LOVE LOVE LOVE it, you should get it.
Personally though, I would go for another one (there are so many dresses out there, there will be other beautiful ones as well). I would choose this because I would prefer to be more unique (most dresses are sold everywhere anyway but at least it’s not the exact same one) and to avoid any drama.
That said, most people would have forgotten what your friend wore at her wedding so will not really notice. Only your friend will and her wedding is over and she wore the dress first so if anything, you would be the one who would have to “look better” lol;)

yeah… maybe this was a sign that it wasn’t the one? Or if you think it is, you could alter it to make it your own. But like pp said, you could probably find another one. take it as an opportunity to get to shop again… I kinda wish I could shop for dresses more! lol

can you post a pic of the dress? maybe we can come up with some ways of altering it slightly so its not exactly the same

many bees find a dress they love, then have dress regret later, go shopping a few more times and see if anything else strikes you.

if you love the dress then you love the dress.
If she is your friend, she will want you to be happy and find the dress you want.

I will have to get another one cuz there are same guests from her wedding going to mine including her bridesmaids who would remember the dress. I don’t want it to turn out that people’s reaction when seeing it is that’s the same as her dress I want them to like it so I want one that’s a different dress but similar style just really bummed about it though oh well

If you love the dress, then who cares if someone else wore it? The only way you would get a truly one of a kind dress is to design it yourself from scratch. Also, you are not a carbon copy of your friend so it will look completely different on you than it did on her. Also, guests won’t remember what the dress looked like. I really wouldn’t worry about it.

If you want a different, similiar styled dress then post the pic and explore other dresses by the same designer. Whats the name of the dress?
