So I’ve seen quite a few threads about rings on the beach and in the water and I’ve been searching posts looking for a solution. I think I may have found it. I found something called a ring wrapper and it’s a silicone wrap that you put around your ring.
I just ordered one, not sure how it will fit over my ring since it has a high setting nor could I find any reviews on the product but for something like $6 with shipping, I’ll risk it.
I’m not so much worried about dirt or sand but my finger shrinks slightly when I’m cold and when my hand is wet my ring is very slippery so I was nervous about it sliding off when I go snorkeling/swimming which I plan to do a ton of on our Hawaii honeymoon.
I’m also concerned about falling or slipping while hiking or walking along lava rocks and scratching it.

We bought some stand-in rings for when we were in the pool or ocean in Maui. We wore our real rings for the rest of the honeymoon.
Let us know how the ring wrapper works! 🙂

I would not wear my ring snorkeling or swimming, even with a “ring wrapper.” This seems like a big risk. I got a stand in for my honeymoon because I wanted to feel “married”

I’ll report back! My Fiance looked very offended when I mentioned the idea of leaving the ring in the room or buying a stand in.lol.
I am too excited to finally wear my band with my engagement ring, I don’t think I’d be able to do it anyway.

With the ring wrapper I wouldn’t be worried about the ring sliding off anymore so it eliminates the risk for me.
I was originally looking for a jelly ring to wear in front of my ring to stop if from sliding but I think this is even better.

Fiance and I both purchased fake rings to wear to the beach and to go snorkeling in. He ordered a cheap tungsten band off Amazon and I ordered a CZ ring off Etsy.
I’d say the possibility of being offensive is worth not risking the loss of either real ring.

Well I guess I look at it this way. In my everyday life I don’t worry about the ring falling off, the only way it’s a bit riskier on my honeymoon is when I go in the water and the ring may slip off so if I eliminate that risk then I’m no longer worried about it.
I feel much safer with my ring on my hand then at my house or the hotel where it could get stolen.
