diamondmadee: That doesn’t seem too early at all! My perfect venue didn’t have anything available for the next 15 months from when I found it, so I had to keep looking. There are most likely going to be little issues that come up, IMO i’d want to start out on the right foot with your vendors. I’d love to see what else you’re looking at-you have great taste 🙂

diamondmadee:  Woah that Pavilion site is jaw droppingly pretty. You wouldn’t even need to decorate if you didn’t want to! That being said, I don’t know if it’s worth the headache a noncommunicative caterer..That just sounds like a nightmare to me.

diamondmadee:  do you have a wedding planner? Maybe they can play some hardball and set the expectation about communication, otherwise I would be worried. I dont think that them taking so long to respond is normal. I talked to people in Dallas and Oklahoma City before I decided what to do and no one ever took that long.

diamondmadee:  I would definitely look into another venue and I’m glad to hear you are! Yes, we all want it to be perfect and it’s our only* wedding day, but I would recommend to try and not get blinded by the ‘shiny things’- aka the things that come standard like the view and building. IMO, the elements that will make your day memorable are the people- both those that help celebrate and those that make the celbrattion possible.

diamondmadee:  I would say to look for a wedding planner, i found mine who does weddings part time and is a planner for a large university here. I also know girls who are in college, final year of hotel and restaurant who focus on wedding planning and they do weddings and are super cheap.
