well, you know your girls. I’m a part time worker and full time student, so $288 is almost a week’s pay for me, and I could not pay for that dress. But, if your BMs aren’t as poor, it may work.

cdpslh913059487: if you’re looking for honest opinions-$288 would be way too much for me to pay for a dress, especially since the girls will most likely need altering. Have to keep in mind all the other associated wedding costs for BMs-shower and Bach party contributions, shower and wedding gifts, travel to the wedding and/or Bach if out of town. Shoes/jewelry/hair/makeup. Just my thoughts! Pretty dress though 🙂

cdpslh913059487: I wouldn’t pay that much for a bridesmaid’s dress. Is that a normal price for your social circle?

Again, you know your girls but nearly $300 is outrageous In My Humble Opinion. I didn’t want my girls spending more than $200!

I’d be backing out of your wedding if the dress was $288. It’s not that I don’t have the money …it’s just that there is no way I’d want to shell out that kind of cash for a dress I’d only wear once.

My girls’ dresses were $300. No one minded.

I don’t think it’s unheard of, but it may not be affordable for everyone. I don’t think I’d be willing to spend that much as a Bridesmaid or Best Man.

I paid $300 before alterations once for a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress, but I honestly wouldn’t do it again. It’s a lot of money for something I’m not going to rewear.

That is a bit high for a bridesmaids dress. I might try to find one that more has your vision as is. Changes just make the price tag go up. However, it is all up to your bridesmaids. Ask what they can afford.

Hopefully all your bridemaids are relatively flat chested – can’t imagine wearing a bra with that one! LOL (I know one of mine doesn’t even like to wear strapless because her boobs are so large)
