I found it! I wasn’t even planning on going dress shopping today, but I was driving by a dress store and I thought I’d just take a peek. And guess what I found inside?!
It’s a Vera Wang, and it’s magnificent! I bought it in the color shown above (Champange/Ivory), but I’m getting a gold sash made on Etsy instead of the black one shown.
I’ve decided to go ahead with a soft vintage theme (I was choosing between two themes but this dress made the decision for me), and my colors are light gold, plum, and taupe.
I think this dress is so perfect for me – young, pale skinned, redheaded bride. I look like a china doll in it! 😀
Only catch – the dress won’t get here until June 18, and the wedding is on June 26. Tight, eh? But I think the only alteration will be hemming it, which becuase it’s tulle really just means trimming it. Should be okay.
So what do ya’ll think?!

Good morning! I thought I would be the only one here this early! LOL. Congrats on finding the dress. Yikes = close timeline. Wish you had pics of you in the dress but I know DB doesn’t allow tha. Congrats again!!

Congratulations! However, the DB I saw these at (Columbia, SC) had them in stock and available to purchase off the rack. I don’t know why they are saying you won’t get it until June. I would go back to the store and have them get it from another store.

Very pretty! Definitely whimsical and feminine. I also think the gold sash will be a vast improvement. I’m all for black sashes on bridal gowns – very chic – but that one is a little overpowering IMO.

I’m actually a little worried because we ordered it in a six, but the four was only a little bit too small and I plan to lose a bit of weight. What if I lose it and the dress is too big – can they even alter it in a week?
