It is very “cute”, if that’s what they mean. I’ve seen that cut on prom dresses.

What kind of wedding are you having? For a church, possibly not appropriate. For a laid back wedding on a beach?? Could be cute and fun!

I think it depends on your personality and the type of wedding. You shouldn’t have to be something or someone you are not on your wedding day.

a2b2c123 :  I’ll be honest and say I really don’t like this dress at all. The high low is too abrupt and in addition to being age inappropriate looks cheap. Sorry bee

I think asking strangers for their opinion about something you LOVE is going to lead to regret. If you love it then wear it. No one has to love it but you. I won’t even start on the age appropriate nonsense. You look great in the dress. Its not my personal style preference but it doesn’t have to be.

I do not like it at all. You are a very beautiful woman, but this dress takes away from your beauty, it does not add to it (at all). Since you are asking for honest advice, my advice is to find a different dress.

Not a fan of the dress but if you like it that’s all that matters.

Honestly I don’t like it and I think you will get a lot of people telling you they don’t like it either. It’s looks more like a prom dress then it does a wedding dress in my opinion.  However, if you like it and don’t really care what other people think then go for it.

It’s certainly striking and memorable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a skirt like that  before, sort of a high- low bubble skirt. It gves it a senseof “fun” and I think you could really play up that sense of fun with your accessories ( perhaps Lipstick pink pumps for shoes, a colourful button bouquet).

I don’t think it matters what other people think. If you love it then it’s your dress. To each their own.

I have to say, apart from the skirt (I’ve never liked high-low so I’ll leave it at that), the bodice looks weird too – too undergarmenty, like an actual corset that’s not meant to be seen.

Did you already buy it? I don’t like it at all. But if you do… Rock it.

So, I really dont like this dress. BUT I dont care that its not age appropriate. You have a rockin body, and can pull off a short and/or bodycon type dress. So if this is what makes YOUR heart sing, then that’s awesome. But if you are slightly unsure, I would probably keep looking for something a little less ‘can can’.

I don’t think that the minute one leaves her 20s behind, a woman forfeits her right to wear sexy clothes. In fact, it seems to me women carry off sexy much better after their 20s. Having said that, the dress you posted is sort of juvenile. You would look gorgeous in either of these dresses (from Boutique 1861, at very reasonable prices):
