I know others have had bad experiences at David’s Bridal, but I have no complaints! My associate was so helpful and patient with me, my 8 year old, and a teenage bridesmaid. When a flower sash didn’t come in the color of my daughter’s dress, she came up with an alternative so my daughter could look “just like mommy.” I think I got fabulous dresses for an awesome price, and couldn’t be happier. I ordered them less than two weeks ago and they are already here. I am glad I got the first appointment on Saturday because things were getting busy by the time we lefts.

@SummerBird: Congrats, it is cute! I think the problems with Davids vary by location, I’ve heard other positive stories!

I love the dress, and it looks great on you!! I bought mine at DB also and had a great experience. I think it depends on your store and the timing of your appointment! Congrats on getting your dress!!

@SummerBird: your dress is so pretty! i got my dress online from davids bridal for a great sales price. i did try dresses on in the store but i hated my experience and they were very pushy for me to buy something right then and there. i didnt like it so i left with nothing. found mine online near black friday and its beautiful! im glad u hsf a positive experience in the store though

I got my wedding gown at DB, too! I also had heard horror stories and experienced one myself as a bridesmaid years earlier. However, I decided I’d use all my options when on the hunt for The Dress.
In the end, my experience was positive! I went in on a VERY busy day during their peak bridal season, but got personalized hands-on attention from a very knowledgable bridal expert. She helped me, advised me, made suggestions, gave me insight, told me the stories behind traditions, etc … all while working with at least three other brides at the same time! 🙂
I went through David’s Bridal for my gown, my veils, and my undergarments. I got my shoes at a – get this – beauty pageant boutique, but only because I was very picky on style and color (got them dyed). I also decided to use an out-of-house seamtress to alter my dress. I wanted to work with someone who’s primary language was English and who wasn’t working under the stress of dozens of gowns a week. 🙂 It turned out amazing!
All-in-all, like @mchitt329:
said, each location has it’s own story to tell in regards to quality and customer service. It’s a hit and miss … and it looks like you and both “hit”!
Congrats on the dress! 😀

You look beautiful!!
My complaint with David’s was that she kept going back and forth from me to another bride!

Thanks everyone! It’s a second marriage for us both, and we are getting married outside and having an informal outdoors reception so I thought this would be perfect.
The person helping me wasn’t assisting anyone else so I lucked out there. Then again, my appointment was 9:30 on a Saturday morning.
