So my mom and one of my BMs went into David’s Bridal a few weeks ago to try some things on and get an idea/make sure of what I wanted in a dress (I’ve ALWAYS wanted tea-length). I also wanted to start Looking early because if I fell in love with a dress that was being discontinued I didn’t want to be heartbroken in a few months when it wasn’t available anymore.
Anyway, we pulled some dresses and we found this one on the clearance rack (it comes with a white satin sash, but I loved the black Vera Wang one I have on with it). I tried it on, but it wasn’t Exactly what I was picturing in my head (and it was a size 8 and I fit in the size 10’s perfectly) so we put it back. Fast forward a few days and I can’t get the dress out of my head, I keep staring at the picture. I realized it was the one, but when I called the store it had been sold! We got the style number and called a dozen David’s before finding it in Yonkers, NY (of all places) who shipped it to me. Still a size 8, but it’s only 1 dress size and I have a year to get into it . I’m so in love with the lace overlay pattern.
The only (slight) problem is that it’s supposed to come with a matching bolero jacket (http://www.weddingdressmart.com/David%27s-Bridal-Collection-Wedding-Dress-Style-YP9983/11486) but it was missing! It’s okay though, I fell in love with it without the jacket in the first place.. Although if any bees know of a way to find it I’d love to hear! (I emailed David’s Bridal customer service but I doubt they’ll be able to do anything).
I feel so lucky I was able to track it down, and with shipping/taxes it was still under $100!! Haha I’m almost embarassed to admit to that, but I’m much more excited to proclaim what a deal I found.
So what do you think, good decision?
