@takemyhand:  Yay on finding your dress. You can make a veil. They are easy. I am making mine. What type did you have in mind? If you are stuck for time order one off of ebay. 90% of my friends did and they were lovely.

I agree with PP. Ebay and Etsy have some really pretty ones that are reasonable!

I ordered mine from Candi Merle at Crowning Glory Designs based on a rec from this board.  I’m still waiting for it to arrive, but she has been great to work with so far and has excellent reviews.

I’m getting a two tier chapel length drop veil with alencon lace and it is running about $130.  I’m sure simpler designs would be less expensive.

@takemyhand:  Yay! We can keep each other posted on our progress. I have my fabric already. I want to tackle it now but I have to hem FI’s uniforms first πŸ™ 1 down 4 to go.

@takemyhand:  LOL I CAN imagine the disaster with two dogs about! I am still debating my edge. I wanted to do a lace edge but my dress is so ornate that I think it would just look silly. I have tons of sparkle and bling so I may just leave it plain. However unlike you I think I want mine to poof. Like so:

LOL I guess I just love the drama.

@takemyhand:  Try occanseydesigns.com before you decide to DIY to save you the trouble… They have what you want regarding the veil being flat at the comb AND on top of that their prices are really really good!
