Sooo after 7 stores and 60+ dresses…
I. Found. The. Dress.
😀 SO VERY HAPPY. I will refrain from posting all 60 dresses…however here are the lead contenders. Please disregard any uber weird faces I may have in the following…
Started at Mariposa Boutique in Anaheim. Cannot recommend this place enough. My consultant, Lianna, was amazing, the store was amazing, the selection was awesome, and so were the prices. This Enzoani dress really got me…but didn’t do much for mah booty…
The booty shot…and my adorable soon-to-be-stepdaughter (my Maid/Matron of Honor :))…and a snippit of Lianna’s cute little face…
Maggie Sottero’s Tracey. Didn’t realize when I requested this one that it had so much beading. Not a fan of that, or the look of beading on lace…but ooohhhmygoodness did I love the back of this dress:
We then ventured to Mary Linn’s in Pasadena. This was a beauuutiful Simone Carvalli gown I loved, despite the A-line that I feel makes me look huge. Not the best store experience…but all a part of the journey :). Sooo about the aforementioned “uber weird faces”…
The next couple were at Bella Sposa in Rancho Cucamonga. These ladies were so sweet and helpful, the store was amaaaaazing, and the prices matched all of the above :). This first one was beautiful, but I like my ruffles a little softer. Don’t think I caught the name of this one. Sorry : /.
Loved the back:
Pronovias Alma. Absolutely loved this dress. Probably would have picked it, had I not found The Dress. Shaped everything in just the right way:
This was a size 2 and I’m a size 6 so there was no zipping it up : /. But just FYI for any interested, it zips all the way up.
Then we ventured to Mon Amie in Costa Mesa. Had to sneak these shots (meh). They also wouldn’t tell me the name of this dress (double meh). My consultant was very sweet though. What almost sold me on this one was the scalloped deep V in the back and the buttons alllllll the way down. SO beautiful. Just couldn’t get past how boxy it made my “girls” look : /:
This was my beloved Jenny Lee 1216…at my not so beloved Jenny Lee 1216 price. Alas…we were not meant to be, 1216…
Ooooohhh Kathy Ireland…how I love this dress :). Sorry this next pic is sideways. Technology said “No Cam, you are NOT the boss of me. This pic will remain difficult to look at.”
Wasn’t sure about the flower/feather detail though because there will be some sunflower action at my wedding. Also didn’t know how I felt about the bubble bottom. Beautiful dress though. The deep V in the back and the buttons…uuuggghhhhh love it. And fit likea glove:
Okay, my dear bees…the moment we all (ESPECIALLY ME) were waiting for. I give you The Dress…my beautiful….OH SO beautiful…La Soie ‘Cherie’ <3.
The back, which I will have altered into a slight V…because I love me that business :).
P.S. Huuuuge shout out to Michelline fron La Soie. Total doll. Totally helpful. Completely patient with me. Great prices. Amazing store.
So this was my dress adventure, ladies. Just had to share it with y’all because I have to keep it hidden from my guests and felt like I was gonna burst with excitement :). Got a year (yesterday) until my wedding…but I’m a nursing student and can’t be Googling the bajeezus out of wedding dresses, obsessively determined to find my dress when I should be studying medications and lab values : /. So unbelievably happy I’ve found The Dress…and SO unbelievably happy that my hunt is over. Next week it’s back to school with a little piece of mind that I’ve found the dress I’m marrying my best friend in :).
