The top looks like the Pronovias Diamante to me.  Gorgeous dress – $1500 sounds about right, too.

If the price is a bit steep, I’ve seen several listed on preownedweddingdresses.com.

I agree that it looks like the Diamonte and that $1500 sounds right.  Check out Mrs. Cherry Pie’s posts–I think that’s the dress she bought.  The top is also similar to the Casablanca 1831, but I think that the one you’re wearing is more trumpet style.

I have no idea who makes it, but its beautiful! Maybe you can print the pictures of yourself out and take them to other bridal shops (maybe in Madison or Milwaukee?) and ask if they have a gown like this. I think it is beyond stupid that they wouldn’t tell you the designer!

The material is usually what makes a dress expensive. Real silk and satin are more expensive than rayon or cotton, especially if a dress is lined in silk and satin too. Organza is less expensive than silk and satin and real lace can be the most expensive fabric. I tried on a vera wang gown that was $1,200 because the design was very simple and the fabric was an inexpensive organza.

Amelishan is very rude. I promptly took my money elsewhere. I’m surprised that they let you take pics. I’ll keep an eye out for the dress or one similar at a more reasonable price.

The front is similar to the Marisa but the back of the Marisa is a V and this one is straight.

I think it looks like the Diamante as well.

It’s not Diamante!  It’s Pronovias Medina… similar, but different ruching.

Look here on the Pronovias site, Pronovias 2010 collection.

It’s stunning.

I agree with mariavvisa as well.  Gorgeous!  Check to make sure that shop is an authorized Pronovias dealer – they could be trying to pass off a La Sposa as  Pronovias (La Sposa makes a ton of ‘knock off’ Pronovias dresses…I dont want to say knock off but theyre darn near identical, with the same price point) but Pronovias materials are nicer.  its gorgoeus though, take your business elsewhere for sure!

**NOTE – I checked the website – that bridal shop IS an authorized dealer, so there ya have it.  The Pronovias is your dress!
